Ex meat cutter here. If the meat is "mushing" or not wanting to come out of the grinder. Often times its because the machine isn't put together tightly enough. It's a wierd thing that all of the grinders i've ever used had. When tightening the chuck that locks that grindplate in place, go as tight as you comfortably can, then get uncomfortable with it. Legit be afraid you'll never get the plat off there again. Then try grinding.

the way it browned is really nice. I was gifted like 20lbs of raw honeycomb a week ago and have no idea what to do with it. But i also have 60lbs of elk meat from a few weeks ago too, so i think i am going to take this recipe and run with it. see if i can elevate it a bit. thanks Mr.S!
