"I love to collect historical homes" by putting up golden lamborghinis and chandeliers everywhere and renovating them to the point where none of their original interior is intact.
@inyourbathroom2 жыл бұрын
It's funny. Wood, stone, plants, and glass are the keys to a tasteful, welcoming environment that we evolved to enjoy. That is why things like exposed brick exists; not because the owner can't afford drywall, but because it's a design feature to improve ambience by tapping into what we've evolved to consider natural and safe. Yet these people with basically infinite money to design a beautiful home take a historic building which already satisfies the above merit of tastefulness, and plaster over it with gold and intrusive art as a status symbol. They go out of their way to strip away anything historic about it. To them, the building's age is the status symbol, not what that age would represent. A minecraft cobblestone hut is less offensive than this.

From all of the stupidly expensive houses that Charlie has covered, that I have watched thus far, this is the only one that - taking in consideration the pricetag - the fucking rooms actually make sense in the decoration and feel lived in. You can definitely see how some of them are leggit just exceptionally similar to places where Petra may spend a lot of time outside of the house - like spas and shopping at Hermès or something, and that really shows up on her private closet and that whole underground section. While I think the diamonds are the worst thing possible to invest money in for reasons better not discussed here on youtube, this is honestly a girl's barbie house dream. Not the tackiest place, has more personality than I expected.
