Exactly idk why the design choice went that way anyways.
@VynalDerp3 жыл бұрын
@@ryanhenslee1970 in the original there was an option you could tick to enable precisely that, only get intel on a part of the map you see. Some custom maps used it, but I don't know if it's implemented in DK2 yet.... the reason it's the way it is is because you would probably have some sort of intel on what the layout would likely be. Often when doing these sorts of operations, they look for the blueprints of the building, what each of the rooms are supposed to be, and then plan around that.

The problem for stealth was not the weapons, but the windows. You were using two glass windows as backstop. And is it turned out, windows are a pretty noisy backstop. But there was not exactly a abundance of approaches. And as you said, they propably expected an attack from the main enterance.

One thing to note - slap charges are *also* your only method of opening a door remotely, locked or not. If you *had* found a suicide bomber in that bathroom and you were out of slap charges, what would you have done about it?
@tearstoneactual97733 жыл бұрын
When he was dealing with the bathroom, I kept thinking "Just put a slap charge on it and set to bang it right after." And set up cross coverage so that as soon as the door blows, you have a shot and can take it before the combatant can react. Should be really disorienting for them. That's a fight you're almost certain to win, if you set your initial conditions.
@macdjord3 жыл бұрын
@@tearstoneactual9773 Since it's a hostage recue, you'd want to check the room first with a camera, but yeah, that's what I was thinking.

@@macdjord - Oh for sure. I recently found out just how powerful using the camera on pretty much every door is. It can speed things up a lot, as well as knowing what is on the other side of the door every time you go through... less stressful, and much more accurate on-the-fly planning. Literally a life-saver, even if you're already doing stuff "by the book."
