Many years ago a picked up a book in the bargain bin, IIRC the title was "A Good Woodsman Knows What's Eating Him" the author's whole premise was we need to be out in the woods even if it is for nothing more than a leisurely walk to a favorite picnic spot. He claimed it added more red blood cells to you. He talked about canoe trips where his wife would drop him and his boys off then pick them up down stream at the end of the day. One of the funniest chapters was a father racoon teaching his kids how to read the garbage in a camp ground trash can.

That was so beautiful- the snow is so stunning and the campfire lights. Truly blissful. I find that when I go to my horses, and there is no one else around just sitting and being with them in their presence is so peaceful. I was in a head on car accident (other driver was on the wrong side of the road). I’m learning to walk again, so seeing you hiking is also very emotional for me, sometimes motivating, sometimes frustrating as well as you may imagine. Thank you for the video. Keep up your spirit, it will help you when you need it most.

The Scandinavian countries are so beautiful. I hope to visit them in the not too distant future. Just seeing the untouched beauty of a winter forest is so calming to me, as is nature in general. I've been extremely anxious and stressed lately and your videos have been very therapeutic for me. Regards from UK

Sadly, my life is very high stress... watching your videos like this one and others where you are sitting by the fire talking... bring such peacefulness to me!!! I would so love to be out there with you. I know it is not comfortable, like a home or hotel, but it is so peaceful and while you work for fuel and hike, it is relaxing. I love these videos!! God bless you, my friend! Enjoy your life and lifestyle!!

When I long distance hike for 4 days or more, it is very rewarding to get the tent up and get inside, make some food and hot water to drink, especially when its been windy and raining all day, I am glad for you it snowed for the next morning, This year here in the UK it has been a terrible winter for snow so far, apart from the storm recently, with constant westerly wet winds or South westerly winds, I am impatiently waiting for some north easterly winds to bring some snow!

Watch out for those border Viking raiders! If you split your wood, it mostly likely will be dry on the inside, if it was dead and standing. It's good to keep close to the earth. Sleeping outside, on the ground does something to align one's spirit, I believe. I have yet to meet a high-strung bushcrafter/outdoorsman. The fresh air, the weather, the dirt, the smells and sounds all contribute to keeping one relaxed and focused. The only drama in the outdoors is survival against the elements.
@BjornOutdoors

We could not find any dead standing this time. So this log was wet, but of course not on the inside. That is why you see me drying the pieces before I split them.

I've been out for a month now getting my land setup for my bug out location. It's 1500 acres so I'm taking what trees I need to build my cabin and clearing some for garden and pasture for my horses and the cattle and sheep. I've been through 70°F temperatures to sever thunderstorms and Tornadoes not to far away then down to the 20s Degrees Fahrenheit temperatures. But I'm back at my home for a week now..

Stop all trucks deliveries, learn from the so called freighter shipping issue, flip it around on them. Point is the " top " makes all their money off of commerce, state, national, international commerce, taxes, fees, bribes, manufacturing profits, transport profits, and sales profits, 10% to the big guy has to come from somewhere... the power of the people, the power of the little guy a cumulatively makes all and any of this work... shut it down , sick out, sit out , whatever you like to call it. It will take light speed to take effect on the rich " top " . each day cost them untold profits world wide. How do you stop an advancing dominating army ? Cut off supplies and logistics.. 101
