Fun Fact: In the book after the ratcatchers are hanged, Otto brings in 100 cats to patrol the Red Keep to keep the rats away instead of people. And they still use them over a hundred years later in GoT, if you remember Arya Stark chasing the cats when she was in King's Landing as a child.

And what's funny is that in the main "Song of Ice and Fire" books, Lady Olenna has a pair of guards in her household guard, also twins named Arryk and Erryk (in honor of these two brothers). She can't tell them apart and refers to them as "Left" and "Right".😅

2nd sons always have an inferiority complex about their inheritance and station. Ask Daemon Targaryen, Aemond Targaryen, Vaemond Valaryian, Clubfoot Strong, Stannis Baratheon, The Hound, Euron Greyjoy, Viserys Targaryen (Rhaegars younger and Dany's older brother). They should have all joined the 2nd Sons with Daario Naharis. It's too bad they didn't have probate court and equal reallocation distribution of assets back then.

I took it as he wasn’t so much as taming him but rather waking him up from a long vacation and getting him ready for action again. He needed to get Vermithor back use to human contact or at least to company with Targaryens.

Frickin Jamie stabbed king Aerys in the back, Ser Jorah Mormont was straight up a slave trader and both men have infinitely more honor and pride as Knight then Criston who's ego and just shit planning somehow makes him captain of the guard with no honor. Assassinating Rhaenyra was a stu[pid strategy. Why would they imagine that Jace or Daemon would not continue the war, but with redoubled savagery? The dragon was Seasmoke, and they're establishing something. The fart in a jar was not. You learn about it later.

If Rhaenyra dies, the blacks lose. She was the chosen heir that everyone knew, she would lose all the political capital accumulated during her life. Jace is a known bastard and Daemon wouldn't be put in front of Visery's heirs Aegon and Aemond. Her claim is flimsy as it is. I it was a stupid plan tho XD The probabilitty of it workis is low and the risk of losing a loyal kingsguard is not worth it. Criston did it because he is freaking out

That's not "clear" though. Looks are open to interpretation. Idk about the books though, one often gets much more info in the book. *in the show, I believe we are supposed to take the ratcatcher saying "he said a son for a son" as what happened after the camera cut.

In such moments it would be great if you would at least remember the previous episode. Daemon was not so clear about the assassination attempt on Aemond. Because when the rat catchers asked what they should do if they can't find Aemond, the camera faded away without an answer. In the queen's bedroom, however, one of the two clearly said "he said a son for a son" and so the boy's fate was sealed. There were not so many alternatives for sons. Only Aemond, the king and the child. Daemon simply didn't care, the main thing was a son. Deamon likes to leave open the option of being able to deny everything in the event of unpleasant ends for him. That's why he likes to express himself as vaguely as possible in advance. Nevertheless, it is calculated. Perhaps also to be able to separate himself, his conscience from his decisions.

Mr movies is really not getting anything correct watching all this episodes. First time I've seen him so so off. MRS YOU ARE CORRECT. She is meant to fly high on the mainland to partrol and see whats up. Not on dragon stone. Scorpions are on the wall she just needs to watch for troop movements and anyone leaving. Not just if dragons are coming to dragstone from kings landing.

In season 1, I just thought that Helaena was crazy, but around this time in the series, I started to like her, and I like her even more as the season progresses. Oddly, her Wiki says that she was loved by the smallfolk, but went mad after the murder of her eldest son. So according to her Wiki, I started liking her as she went mad.

It was Rhaenyra's twin who won the fight and did himself in. He couldn't live with himself after that, especially being a kinslayer. Lord Deflection is a POS. Never cared for him, really don't like him this season. He dishonored himself with Rhaenyra and gets butt hurt when she didn't want to run away and marry him, yet he's banging Alicent, further dishonoring himself. Lord Deflection has serious issues. He's also known as Lord Projection, either name fits Crispy Cole.

I feel like by doing a rewatch I realize just how good season 2 of HotD truly was. There were some wonky and bad writing choices, and it needed 2 more episodes with a stronger finale. But it really was pretty damn good. It'll never be peak GoT, but that's not even a fair comparison. The two narratives are very different in many ways. Plus, how could it really ever measure up to one of the 3 greatest series of all time.

I think it was Arryk that won the fight he then turned and realized his brother was right and remember he felt it was dishonorable to do this to begin with now he killed his own twin he asked for forgiveness truth is no one really knows in show or book! They wanted it this way .

The brother who had defected his post, snuck out and stolen a crown and switched sides, the disloyal one, was before that literally the assigned Sworn Shield personally to Aegon. If to anyone, he had to be loyal to Aegon; so, he's a traitor for switching. 3)The dragon of Driftmark is my beloved Seasmoke, formerly Laenor's. 4)Yes, this season does have many farts in a jar, but trust them with these smallfolk scenes, they will come to fruition. 5) One can't have more than one dragon. Vermithor isn't claimed by Daemon, just awakened, so he isn't in slumber anymore.

Yeah, he is the one guy that despite everything would not kill Rhaenyra. He didn't do it when she was a teenager, when the realm was ripe for the taking, Viserys didn't even have a dragon.

the hightowers are a lesson in parenting and support. aegon offers helaena no support for their dead boy. patriarch otto runs whining to unload on alicent, but the moment she tries likewise to unburden herself, otto refuses to hear it. she keeps the cascade of failure flowing by side-stepping weeping son aegon. alicent accepts ser criston back into her boudoir because the only person who could have halted it -- her father -- didn't care.
