Many kids who've been abused and abandoned will test you, over and over. Oh, you're being nice to them? Yeah, people have been nice to them before, and then dumped them, or worse. It's wonderful that this man had the insight and patience to stay with this young man and work through his totally understandable skepticism and anger. Bless them both.

Still, people need to gain trust. We have been helping homeless with our own finances. We do the same as much as we can to push them to take the necessary steps. Teach them to fish. Not all homeless are bad. The younger adults are barely learning life lessons. Let's pray for both.❤

I was a troubled youth and young adult. If it wasn't for good people to to believe I had worth I would not be here today. I paid that good fortune back with others needing a helping hand. People in this world today, homeless or not, need help and kindness and understanding. We are so quick to judge someone's situation when we know nothing. Of course, there are those who will take advantage, or not accept the help, but that shouldn't deter us from helping those who need it.
