The main difference between brake shoes and brake pads is their direction of force. Brake shoes stop the car by pushing outward, while brake pads stop it by moving closer together. Instead of sitting inside a brake drum, brake pads are positioned around a disc called a rotor.
Every car will come standard with two front brakes and two rear brakes, as well as a parking brake. Depending on your specific vehicle, all four of these brakes may be discs, or the front two may be discs and the rear two drums.

Im going to assume those pads are polymerized leather or something similar. This factory looks a little more advanced than some Ive seen there. For a small scale, thats a fairly good operation.

That's just how life is there. Even in the West, child labor was common in the past. And to be fair, education for many people in asian and african countries is pointless - there will always be the need for uneducated workers to do the dirty jobs.
