On the premiere of 'Plateworthy,' chef Nyesha Arrington heads to NYC institution Daniel, where legendary chef Daniel Boulud showcases French and Asian flavors. Daniel walks Nyesha through the dish ormeau, a braised Kona abalone in puff pastry dish that has become a staple at the restaurant.

I love the host! Too often I see hosts interviewing chefs & they're completely clueless about what's goes on. She seems really engaged in the process & is like a student behind the line.

She's great but just a little too over the top, especially the part at 5:37 where she says "this is really important to me, i'm actually super passionate about sea weed". Like really? Who the hell says that.

To be honest she's trying to showcase her knowledge a bit too much. I don't care as much for her assumptions, just let the experts do the talking. For example: the chef says it tastes like geoduck. And she's like: yeah, exactly. And then rambles on with keywords that seem generic. Anyway, nice show, but I don't care too much for her opinion. But then again. It's just my take on things (:

The fact they just let Chef Arrington cut that Abalone. That's TRUST. I don't care how much experience I would have, that would make me so nervous! Chef Arrington was so lovely and professional. Amazing job to everyone. This was a joy to watch :)

Still prefer Eater videos without a host but at least this one was leagues better than the other annoying host who kept interrupting the chef when he was trying to explain things.

I really like this host. She brings a lot of knowledge and she is so darned excited and interested in everything that is going on but not in an over the top or ridiculous way. Just like a true admiration for the work and the people she is meeting here. I'd like to see more of her content.

A great video piece. Lots of work goes into them dishes. However, the host is not only a talented chef, she understand her craft and environment and knowledgeable. As well she's also a very charming host to watch and mingling with the chefs and ask good questions. So many other hosts act as if they are the know it all with their guests and not really let them speak or explain. Good Chemistry! So much you learn just listening.

What a charming lady host. I watch a LOT of cooking shows but she is having the best time in her life and it's very communicative. And she obviously has a culinary background so it's not just good cheerleading.
