Sales is fun. Key is getting them to like you while at the same time finding out what are their hot buttons and pressing the hell out of them

@James lmfao, you get a real job. You can make millions in sales dumbass.

@James that's a damn fine job bud. Damn fine. Don't knock winners for winning, learn how to play the game better. In the words of Chael Sonnen: "you're either a worker or you're a mark."

I've tried sales but I'm just not good at it. I couldn't even get my own friends and family to even talk to me, let alone hear me out and say yes. It's demoralizing for me, and the culture makes it worse cuz it's like a cult. Every other seller was soooo geeked and happy as hell, and I felt way outta place as the only person that didnt even make a sale. It's even worse when you see people giving their testimonials talking about who their best friends and family bought in the first day, and I'm 2 months in with nothing. And to add insult to injury, you have to pay to be a member, you have to pay for trainings, and unless you're completely bought in and selling like a mad person, it all adds up. I don't knock people who do it and are successful at it, but I just don't have the talent or patience. I wish I did but I guess that's just life.

You need to overcome objections but why on earth would you ever want to “press the hell” out of their buttons? Makes so sense

I'm 31 years old and I've been in sales 13 years. While getting my bachelor, i started working a b2b telemarketing job. Here i learned basic technique for cold calling/selling and closing through phone. Back then it felt like a shit job, but i realise now that this was the best sales-education ever. Many so called salesmen are afraid to pick up the phone. But now to me making the calls is like a sport.

Numbers game. Thats why internet marketing, facebook, youtube etc is so powerful. You havent got to a be a good salesman when with a couple of clicks you are doing the equivalent of a salesman knocking on 10,000 doors or phoning 10,000 numbers.

What’s your opinion on the noise at 00:00?
@thomasandersen25345 жыл бұрын
Lee’s lack of any confidence in himself. Just the noise coming out of his mouth tells me he’s concerned that he’s about to ask a stupid question. I wonder if he listens to any of the answers to the questions he asks. I’ve seen so many videos of Joey and others giving him quality advice on how to get women. How to lose weight etc.

It's all MANIPULATION from an American standpoint which is why they create commercials, illiteracy to an specific public only (poor), pose deals for value without stating the taxes that will cost more than the product, and most of all looking for the weakest person (had they not been there, stop by, or called they wouldn't have any interest. Which mean they're there for a reason, and if your sophisticated enough you can actually give them what it is that they want, without them even needing nor actually wanting it.)

A lot of good salesmen (and women) End up being thieves. Not only taking people for a ride but they get a complex like they feel they can control people , they start thinking they can get away with anything. Then they start actually stealing from their friends and family. Possibly to pad a cocaine or gambling problem/habit. Happens all the time to good salespeople. Its a psych thing lol

What makes one good at it is being an amoral (and/or immoral) sociopath - dispensing with the Golden Rule and seeing others not as people, but simply as sources of money, which must be pried away from them via manipulation (often through fear, simple flattery, preying on whatever weakness they might show, and, of course, good old-fashioned lying, etc.).

This whole notion seems immoral somehow, like you’re manipulating a person’s insecurities to enrich yourself.
@carlsagan22992 жыл бұрын
Nobody is forcing you to buy anything, no gun pointed at your head.
@jacobpugh72442 жыл бұрын
Depends on if you’re selling a solid product or not. Its immoral if you’re selling gift wrapped shit, but if you have the same attitude and mindset while selling a good product/service , all you’re doing is breaking down the immediate distrust barrier that any human being has when being sold something. There is a definite psychological technique behind sales and that’s exactly why sales is a skilled/learned profession. I really think its only shady and manipulative when people sell a product/service they don’t actually believe in.
