Love from Memphis, where we have a huge population of Africans. In fact, I went to see a production of The Nutcracker here and during intermission, a West African song and dance routine was performed for us. The dancer/singer broke down the choreography and translated the lyrics, sung in an African language, for us and we naturally sang and danced along. I felt a connection to the dancers despite the fact that I am of European descent and I have never been to any part of Africa in my life. It was very fun though!
