This makes me more determined to get my sleep schedule under control. I've struggled with insomnia since childhood (and unsurprisingly, I've also struggled with my weight and energy levels), but the thing that really gets me is the inconsistency. I'll have a couple days of perfect sleep, and then I won't get more than 5 hours a night for the next two weeks. Now I'm in my 30's and finally feel like I'm reaching a place of balance, but it's taken a lot of work and it's only because I work from home now (because I can stay up and sleep later like my body seems to want).

Fortunately, I was working remotely so I took advantage of the situation. The exercise helped a ton. I can now walk briskly around the block without losing my breath and no pain in my feet. I also did bi-monthly blood tests to make sure I wasn't deficient in any electrolytes. I also knew about refeeding syndrome risks, so I made sure not to overeat during my month long refeeding period. I'm fasting all the time. I have hard time sleeping when fasting.
Usually doing 3 day/week 18-19-20 hour fasting and I'm sleeping day by day worse. Why ? Oh and I'm doing periodically fasting about a few years.

Hey Dr Fung. Can you elaborate on what kind of food we should eat on non fasting days? Is it just all meat and veggies?
