I was 1 week PP when my FIL said to me “you look like you’re pregnant again” Imagine being sleep deprived, in absolute pain from tearing so badly, & I was actually so proud of my body for what it had done, and you hear those words. Brittany, you don’t know how grateful I am for your videos, they’re exactly what I need to hear whenever I’m feeling down

Your FIL was so wrong for that honestly . I’m so sorry hope he apologizes . I hate when men comment on women in these hard times like you want to break me down or what? My BIL told me that I was was fat in 2018 & in 2022 while pregnant again honestly I snapped . I don’t think he will ever comment on a woman again.

your FIL should never be commenting on your body...that's a YIKES....not to mention he should know 1 WEEK isn't even enough time for the hemorrhoids to go away! LOL

I have a FIL who says things like that to me and makes rude comments out loud in public if someone is heavier than he is(it’s utterly embarrassing and cruel). I understand how hurtful this really is. It can make you cry your eyes out. Remember, his opinion does NOT get to have a say in your life if it is going to be hurtful and insensitive in any way. Remember that when he wants to hold that baby you just had.

I am not post partum but post spinal surgery/condition diagnosis and your last little chat about feeling like having to accept “this is it, this is how it’s going to be now” is where I am right now experiencing a set back and your words really helped me to look at this as a positive and a learning/growing experience and to love my body and it’s recovery at every stage of this process. Thank you 🙏🏼 xx

Love how realistic and honest you are I’m almost 9 months pp and getting up and having a run outside seems impossible for me. But most definitely im not going to push myself to a breaking point and mental breakdown over my post baby body. Energy is the most important thing for me which it’s something I lack so much since giving birth and being a single parent. I definitely feel ready now to start increasing my energy levels through light exercise. You’re the only Person I come to on KZbin to find some type of similarity with. I relate to a lot of your experiences giving birth and pp healing. Thank you for this content!

Omg I so appreciate how honest you are! I love your channel! I’m struggle right now with 17months postpartum. When I was breastfeeding so often I wasn’t eating right and I lost so much weight (45lbs lighter than when I delivered) everyone told me I looked sick. Now I’ve gained 15 lbs and I have days when I feel good and other days where I’m not comfortable in my body. But I remind myself that I gave birth and I have to love myself and my body and work hard at it everyday. Thanks so much for you’re kind words! ❤️

Thank you for your honest sharing about your experience. I’m 6 months postpartum and definitely relate, cracked up at the “slinky full of jello”! It was so humbling to try to walk around the block a week after birth and feel exhausted, when I used to exercise 4-5 days a week and walk for hours. I’ve come a long way but am not where I wanna be yet, and seeing you feel strong and at home in your body is so encouraging. Much love and appreciation🙏♥️

I needed this! I’m 8 weeks PP and most days I hate this new body, not because of how it looks, but because of how it feels. I’m a fitness instructor and I taught classes two to four times a week throughout my pregnancy along with my regular workouts. I run obstacle course races too and I have never felt this weak. My body doesn’t do what I want it to do and it doesn’t feel as strong as I know it was and I am struggling! So thank you for this.

The thing about your body not listening to you- absolutely relatable 😭 A few hours after I gave birth I stood up to use the restroom and I just straight up pissed myself. And it happened a few more times after that too! It still happens here and there. But I’m trying to build my strength back up and its been helping. My roommate at the hospital was a second time mom and she was so sweet… she just said through the curtain that she peed herself a few weeks earlier. I forget what I said to her or if I forgot to respond because I was so deliriously tired, but it was sweet of her to offer that comfort that it’s normal. Our bodies are capable of some crazy shit, I guess it makes sense that it would need time to repair. If we were capable of growing life for 9 months and giving birth (in whichever way it happened!), we are damn well capable of repairing ourselves as well. 💪😎 (But if I’m being honest I didn’t feel that way at the beginning- I thought all hope was lost for my poor bladder. lol)

Yes, yes, yes! I felt this way after the birth of my daughter. I felt disconnected as well from my body because, normally, I could do certain things and after my pregnancy, I could no longer do those things. It was hard because 9 months isn’t a long time when you think about how 9 months before you were so active and your body was used to moving a certain way and now it can’t. I remember feeling so out of touch with my body and who I was. It took so long for me to get myself feeling “normal” again but in some way I became better. 1 year to the day after giving birth I ran my first 10K and that was huge because before having a child, I couldn’t run for 10 mins even though I was active and healthy overall. Congrats on getting back to you!

8.5 months pp, I gained ALOT of weight in pregnancy. Only this week I’ve really knuckled down to get myself feeling happier and more confident. Lost half a stone so far 🥳

Thank you for the inspiration. I'm currently 2 months postpartum. Yes you are right, April & May was a very hard month for me because my body was/still is so weak. Even going up and down the stairs is hard (my legs will shake). But I've noticed that this month June is much better and getting easier each day. Every month I take a picture of my body to see the progress but honestly I'm okay with how it looks.

Needed this. I had a pretty traumatic pregnancy and birth journey and I wonder how I’m able to overcome and do all the things I push myself to do daily for my baby boy. There are those days I have moments where I absolutely lose it and the overwhelming aspect of it all hits me (basically when I’m exhausted and barely hanging on by a thread). Thank you Brittany for reminding me to be patient and most of all kind to myself. This made me feel so much better about the disconnection I feel with my body. Sending you and Arrow love! 💖

I could relate to what you were saying in this video! I’m 3 months post partum and also have DR (3 finger gap). I’ve had to Explain to people that me exercising is not bc of vain reasons but simply bc I feel debilitated and just want to feel strong again. Britt I completely get it ! Thanks for sharing 🎊

This really needs to be said more. 4 months pp I was thinking I will need to buy an entirely new wardrobe. The only clothes I could wear were my pregnancy clothes. Now at 7 months pp I can finally fit in my old clothes, but my body is not the same at all. And I love it as it is, because my life is not the same either and I my body is exactly what it needs to be. 💜

I'm 9 weeks postpartum. I was diagnosed with diastasis recti in my first week and refered to physio immediately. I will admit I was so overwhelmed with breastfeeding and sleep deprivation that I didn't really do the exercises but they were healing pretty well on their own. Then 1 week ago I felt a sharp pain after lifting my baby and felt a sharp pain - my recti separated again above my belly button and were probably worse off than in my first month post partum. My core strength is really bad right now and lifting my baby has become physically painful. I was becoming sceptical and worried if I'll ever recover (as you said this is not just about regaining a flat tummy again). But seeing your videos and your amazing recovery, I am determined to try and take 15 minutes daily to do the exercises you mentioned (which is exactly what my physio has recommended) and hope to get my strength back.

I feel like I needed to hear this. With my first baby I was as close to pre pregnancy body I could ever be after 1 year postpartum and I was in love with myself. With this pregnancy at 5 months postpartum my body doesn’t feel mine. I’m giving myself time this isn’t the same. Lockdown wasn’t a thing then and I now have two kids. I will be ok eventually ☺️

As a plus size person, I think your pp videos are very realistic and don’t come across like you’re talking down to people because you acknowledge how hard it is and are honest about your feelings. It’s refreshing
