@@brittanybalyn I 100% LOVE your updates and your honesty! You are so right about the eb and flow of loving your body and finding new things to learn to love about your body! I love the way you put it! And side note..I SWEAR by amber necklaces! My son wore one for the first 3 years of his life and he never fussed once while cutting his teeth! I took it off at night buti always put it back on him and I could tell a difference if I forgot to put it on him! He just turned 8 and he recently lost his two front teeth and he was in a lot of pain when they started coming in and after doing some research I learned that when they loose their front two teeth their palette starts to expand and move to accommodate larger permanent adult teeth. So I went and got a new amber necklace for him and he is cutting his second front tooth and he hasn't had any trouble..definately notice a difference from him cutting his first front tooth without the amber necklace! Highly reccomend!! Way to go momma! Keep up the great work! Arrow is precious!

I already commented but I just want to say I WISH I had this content as a guide (not a manual, I know everyone’s journey is different). I had a hard time asking for help. My mom would offer to send her cleaners to my house and I would say no, like I was supposed to be super mom! I was crying sometimes and hid it for awhile. I finally came to terms that I HAD to ask for help, and it was okay to accept help! I wished was easier on myself. I appreciate your transparency, especially when it comes to your body. I asked myself those questions: “who is this...?” This is such good content for anyone else who is going or will be going through this same journey! You’re doing and awesome job and an awesome mom! Love to you and your little one!

I don’t know who wants to hear this, you are going to be stressed and have anxiety and it’s normal. Just remind yourself that your journey is so special and it’s made to change you. Any change isn’t easy so the first step to take is acceptance, accept your new body, new thoughts and feelings. I promise you are going to feel brand new. Always be grateful and try to make yourself laugh at everything even if it’s supposed to make you stressed. As women we are stronger than we think, we are designed to go through it all. No matter how hard it could seem there is nothing we can’t take 💐💗 all the best to all of you !

Your comment about the six week healing timeline is so true! I was technically “cleared” at this time, but I’m now eight weeks and feel nowhere near normal. I’m thankful to hear your advice about giving myself time and grace. It can be difficult when you pop on social media and see a bunch of other moms supposedly transforming right back to their pre-pregnancy selves. After going through this process myself, I believe there is probably much more to the story than people are showing.

This!! Thank you so much for this. I’ve been struggling so much to be okay with my csection scar. My body is so different from what I anticipated and I start to feel bad for feeling bad about the scar when I made my little human. It’s hard to feel like your body’s normal or to get used to it. My baby’s still in the nicu because I had an emergency csection at 29 weeks and I feel like I should be keeping all my focus on him and appreciating him being okay rather than being so upset about my body. But then it makes me feel so fake body positive when I don’t like my body. It’s so nice to not feel alone.

I’m a first time mom barreling towards delivery and I’m scared. Not just of the actual act of birthing a baby, but of the postpartum journey as well. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with my body for my entire quarter-century lifespan so far and I don’t expect the aftermath of growing and delivering an entire human being to be all flowers and sunshine, but watching videos of real people and their real experiences gives me hope that even though I’ll have plenty of bad days, there will be good days too. And while I can’t compare your motherhood journey to mine or mine to someone else’s, I’m finding comfort in learning what kind of experiences I can potentially expect. Thanks for this video and for talking through your transition to motherhood! 💕

You are so graceful, open and honest. I love it. You put me at ease and make me feel it’s okay to give myself the time to heal. I used to be gung ho into working out before pregnancy and have felt so much guilt because I can’t get myself there to find the balance and energy to work out again. I am also 9 months postpartum and I go through days I love my body better than before and some days I’m like let’s suck this in a high waist!!! Lol
