Project manager in the US, since they also communicate with clients so it's important they're able to easily communicate on calls/emails. Plus makes time differences much easier since most our clients are in the US. Everything else we hire from anywhere, as long as they're good.

Im just asking since labour with experience in the USA can be expensive. And Id love to know if you have success hiring entry level account managers or you look for experience? Project Managers don't need SEO experience though, just project management + account management in my case. SEO roles obviously need SEO experience

I always had problem with dealing with sales but love the SEO part..... how can you check the work of the salespeople? do you record the calls? do you pay them a commission as well or only a fixed rate?

It's really difficult and I have limited experience with it. Before I had a full-time member on my team who I trusted to do them (not this agency). Now I'm doing all the sales, but recently made a deal with a sales guy I know to do some prospecting and sales on a commission only basis. He's great at what he does and has a track record, I trust the guy and known him for a while, and commission only is better for us both so he can earn more.
