i hate the ‘but they’re diagnosed with this!’ argument, someones diagnosis does not make them a shitty person, their actions do. i have bpd and npd, two very commonly demonised disorders, those disorders do not immediately make someone a dickhead, its how they act that makes them a piece of shit. /nay btw, i just hate that excuse cause its both a) bullshit and b) reenforces the negative views on certain disorders by equating them to being a bad person.

I had something similar. met her online and our friendship extended to irl too. She was good at first we even dated for a bit but broke up because her personality flipped (plus she cheated) we remained friends tho. She turned really argumentative, judgey rude to my friends and just honestly a horrible person to put up with. She also treated me like a therapist it was very stressful managing her mental health and mine. I attempted to cut her off many times but we always reconciled. I eventually snapped at her and was waiting for an "im sorry for the way i treated you" its hard to accept but i gave her so many chances to change and she never did and never will at least towards me. So i sent merry Christmas and blocked her. Cus even "im sorry" couldn't fix us

man i hate when this shit happens. i just found out recently that most people in my friend group were in a group chat that i was not in - and they talked shit about me and conspired against me for over 6 months (bringing up my flaws and creating drama out of mistakes from months ago). it really sucked and i'm not sure who to trust anymore. it's awesome that you could let go of those kinds of people.

this video came out right as I helped my partner finally cut ties with their abusive ex/friend who spent the entirety of their relationship and later friendship gaslighting them and trying to make them feel like trash because I guess she liked that they'd always come back because they were lonely and she was willing to be their "friend". I'm very proud of them and you as well for leaving an abusive relationship like that because it's what you all deserve. Hopefully you'll only have good people in your life from now on and if not, you'll be able to remember this situation and tell yourself to leave again
