I'm a only child so growing up our household was always so quite and it was lonely at times. My mum was strict with housework/tidy things but we also had fun too. I'm far away from having kids yet but I feel like I always want 3 (if possible) I want my house to be warm, full of laughter of a larger family and see the special relationship between siblings because I missed out on that myself in my childhood. I hope I will be a glamorous mum like you!

Listening to you makes me feel so so much better and more at ease. I have a 2 year old and I'm currently 6 months pregnant! It was planned and we are SUPER duper excited but anxious and nervous as ever with the idea of having two very young kids. But thank you so much, I've been getting a few comments from family members that it's too soon and impossible etc etc so listening to you reminded me exactly why we decided to have another and restored some of my confidence as a mother x P.s. I've been binge watching your videos for the past month and can't get enough! So so thankful I found your channel at this time of my life! Your children are gorgeous, watching little Jackson brings the biggest smile to me and my two year olds face, we just can't wait for our bundle of joy xx

I found 1-2 was really tough! Number 3 just kinda rolled into the family, haha! But something that I struggle with is having two older ones in school with all these after school activities, homework etc... it's so tough running around with a tot in tow, I'm completely exhausted at the end of each day. I'll admit I didn't nurse number 3 as long simply because i needed more flexibility, I have keen memories of my eldest feeding him a bottle in the car on the way to tennis 😬. Yes, it's crazy sometimes, but all worth it in my book. Hubby and I call 3 kids manageable chaos.

Great video and I completely agree with all of your points. My first two are 6 and 9. We always said we wanted 3 children but after the second, there never seemed to be the right time. We resigned ourselves to the idea that we were 'done' (consciously but not sub-consciously I think) and I finally started selling all the baby gear at the beginning of the year. Well, I'm now 36 weeks pregnant with no. 3! The age gap is a bit bigger than I would've liked however with my two eldest in school I think it'll almost feel like a first baby all over again. Time will tell :-)

Your videos have inspired and motivated me to wake up to a new day tomorrow with a renewed sense of "I love my family and I want to be the best I can be." Fab video, Emily. My parents had three, as soon as the youngest started school, the next baby came along. I've only got two, not for the want of trying. My daughter was three and a half when my son was born, she did seem to struggle a little with the transition of becoming a big sister. Once baby was old enough to sit and play, they had such a close bond. She really loved dressing him as princesses and mermaids when he was little haha ❤️😘

0 to 1 was soooo hard. My birth experience was traumatic, I lost a lot of blood and tore internally, my recovery period was very long and I didn’t feel like myself again for quite some time, I really struggled with breastfeeding which was excruciatingly painful, and I was SEVERELY sleep deprived for the entire first year of my baby’s life because she was an awful sleeper, so badly that I experienced heart pains daily. Nothing can be harder than that was. Just found out I’m pregnant with baby #2 (now that baby#1 is almost 3 years old) and I just know it HAS to be easier this time. It just has to.

I love your answer to the first question, and I couldn't agree more with everything you said! Having our first was definitely the hardest transition, two was a little tricky, learning to divide my time. Going to three, and then four, was a much easier transition to me. Each made me much busier, just not as hard a change.

I've said all along that the transition of none to one was hardest of all the transitions too... and I didn't really find that that hard really at the time. I've definitely been in the easier camp, and as you know.... three just makes me want four!

I agree that a little bit of a bigger age gap helps make things go smoother. my girls are 4 years apart. the best part of it is that around the time my second started walking and getting into everything, my first started school. I have an 11 years old, 10 years old and 3 years old. I definitely think having closer age gap is better in the long run. The first few years was tough, but when they got older, I can take them to school together, afterschool activities together, and at home they play together. I gave away all my baby things after my second kid. So by the time baby number 3 came along, we had to start all over with buying all new baby things, etc. My 2 older kids are big help with the baby. But downside is the big age gap leave my youngest to always play by herself and always have no one to play with. She always gets drag around a lot to her siblings afterschool activities. Anyway, my point is that the closer the age gap, the better. First few years is tough, but worth it.

Hellooo Emily another really interesting video..have always wondered about having a third (but husband is digging his heels in lol). I'd love to see you do christmas gift ideas video, I'm always stuck for ideas and have serious envy over most of your stuff 😂 just watched an older video you posted of Calebs 2nd birthday gifts and my littlees would have gone nuts for most of it. Anyway keep up the good work, I really look forward to your updates 👏

Totally agree. I've always said 0 to 1 child was my hardest transition. And also if you don't think your done then your definitely not is so true. People say I'm crazy to have a 3rd but that is what I say all the time.

We have a 14 month old miracle baby and recently got the good news we're gonna have our second one! we knew we wanted more kids and I feel happy but also nervous and scared about the gap and the hectic life of potty training while dealing with a new born...etc.

The one bonus with a small age gap I enjoy the most is that they both still take an afternoon nap! This way I get my rest as wel!

I love your view on the age gap. I didn't think about having more of a gap being a good thing but now I get it. My baby is going to be born when my oldest is 8.

that was a great video! thank you Emily xx i am a mom of a 3,5 year old girl and currently pregnant with my son at 37 weeks. i really needed this. the thing that worries me the most is how will i manage to "protect" my newborn from getting ill, as my daughter is going to the nursery.

Me, being from a huge family with large age gaps like some of us are 2 years apart, and the biggest gap is a 15 year age gap (I know people do not plan for that obviously and that's not ideal by any means😅) , but I cannot fully agree that your children won't be close. I say this because i am close to all of my siblings, even the eldest. I think it really depends on their personalities and how you raise your kids. We were all raised close, always together doing family activities so now as adults, we are close and I love it. ❤ love my big crazy family

Great video!!! I'm like you, I've always wanted a big family and imagine the same Christmas as you in years to come. I too think that you know when you're done. I really don't feel done after Harleigh but we aren't sure if we will be able to have more yet. Jumping from 3 to 4 seems huge for some reason 😂 x
