Here in Canada we just add insulation and barrier then drywall mud and tape and paint..why is it necessary to add a plaster coat over the drywall inside?

That is often done here in the UK too, particularly with new build properties or with an extension as it is obviously a cheaper method. I dont think it leaves as good a finish as a fresh layer of plaster though and you can often see the studs appearing through eventually or the tape can start bursting. Also if you wallpaper straight over plasterboard without plaster in between then if you remove this at a later date it can compromise the underlying board.

These days for a full renovation and extending in the loft, side and back like this you're scarily looking well over £200,000 if doing little yourself!

Coloured render is lovely when it’s new but….. trust me when I say that in 3-4 years you’ll still be painting it . I’m a decorator of 38 years and the amount of outsides I’ve had to paint because the render has got grubby . I’ve know idea on what traditional cement render costs in relation to the stuff you’ve had

No closets in the bedrooms? Love your videos but can’t imagine buying a house with 5 bedrooms with no closets in lower bedrooms. In the US you can’t advertise it as a bedroom if there is no closet. No offense just an observation. Watching from PA, USA.

In Britain what we do is give them houses barehand and the owners then hire an Interior Designer and do it themselves , it's a win-win for both and Home Staging isn't really popular to sell houses here .
