My F You money wasn't for totally retiring, it was enough living expenses for about 6 months if I needed to leave a job or find a new living situation suddenly. It was a huge comfort to know that money was there if I ever find myself in a bad spot. It allowed me to leave a really toxic work environment with no worries!

I was FORCED OUT a job (because they're to cheap to fire people anymore, so they bully you out of the job.... making it so bad you quit!). Even so, I can't begin to tell you how liberating it felt!!! Dimeless, but blissfully happy (for a couple weeks). Even almost got a t-shirt printed up saying, "I fired my boss today." Some things are priceless. KZbin gods messing with my comments. I returned to this comment and it's obvious to me that these words have been changed, edited, and omitted all together! Dirty hanky panky on KZbins part!!!

Bigger than f you money is f you skills. Money comes and goes, and the value is ever-shifting. What never goes away is the ability to grow your own crops, raise your own fences, dig your own wells, raise your own animals, harvest from them, do your own plumbing and electric too. As long as you don't have to pay anyone to do the things that need to be done, there's no amount of money you need to say f you. You just need tangible investments on your property with the wherewithal to manage them.

I live a legit spartan lifestyle. My welder friends at my previous job thinks I live like a legit peasant. Like seriously, if labourers think youre living too cheap, you are definitely cheap. Im not stingy, I just find it easy to feel comfortable. My FU money level is pretty low and I think Ive reached it. But im a muslim so I need to give up a mandatory 2.5% each year, so thats ÷0.065 for me. The reason I keep working is because I know the struggle keeps me alive. Plus, I love my job. Keeps me sharp. If I stop, I will probably wither and be a loser shut-in and lose my muscles. My mind isnt strong enough to be independent

I have the “f-u” amount already. Throw it all in etfs?? I have a high yield savings account at 5 percent with Wealthfront. I like the no risk..guaranteed return. I know we won’t see 5% forever..so what next when that interest drops?

I find your videos very ingenuous. It really seems as though you’ve never been pour a day in your life. That may be incorrect but there’s a whole lot you’re missing by not experiencing that and trying to tell the poor people out here your fast and simple ways to make wealth. I think I would be satisfied with just being able to get through a month without using my credit card for something. Especially with 10% inflation. I was already stretched to the limit so what’s the first thing to go? Do you know?

I work in film so my jobs are only 1-3 months long anyway, so literally all it takes for “walk off money” as I like to call it, is a similar contract amount. So if I’m making $450/day in my current job for the next month, any job or roughly that amount is enough. Doesn’t take much.
