Lost 90 pounds since 2020 and now doing things I couldn’t do since 2014. I was told “bone on bone, need a knee replacement.” I didn’t want to go there. Low carb diet and resistance training got my health back!!!

That's what I want to hear. My doctor advise me to do a knee replacement. I'm only 46 with bone on bone arthritis all caused by a torn meniscus that happened 11years ago. It never improved. Now I'm 30lbs over weight and my knee hurts very bad

I had arthritis pain Everywhere .My neck used to creak when I turned it . I modified what I ate dramatically . The less plant matter, seed oils I consumed the better I felt. Until I was eating ruminant meat based lifestyle . I have late stage Lyme disease and multiple auto immune diseases . I also needed a 7 th knee surgery , but did not have insurance to pay for it. The swelling and pain went down after 2 years . If I eat almond flour my body hurts almost instantly . Be your own advocate and pray . I pray for wisdom and knowledge . The body is designed to heal itself .

@@FrozenSunshine-plk It is all a matter of perspective . Everything begins in the mind. Perhaps this auto immune disease is a gift given to those who can endure the suffering . To learn to accept it , become friends with it , welcome it , understand it .To . be able to help, lift up , encourage ,restore faith and hope in others .I was born with double celiacs gene, almost no methylation ( so my body has hard time detoxing and holds onto toxins),diabetes, alzheimers gene, crohns,,Ehlers Danlos and I am neuro divergent . I am blessed and grateful for this life . This things do not define me but are my superpowers .

I started keto and have been making almond flour bread, I will switch to coconut flour bread and see if that makes a difference. Thank you.

What are the foods that cause inflammation ?
@robieg8554 ай бұрын
Anything processed. Like ham, bacon, lunch meats, sausage, even wine. Meats such as poultry, fish, pork are fine. Baked goods bad. Fresh veggies and fruits are excellent even walnuts are good. Plenty of water is good. I hope this helps you.

Sitting with my heel on a chair in front of me, with a five kilo bag of rice on my knee has so far made the biggest chance for me. Lost thirty kilograms as well.

I lost a lot of weight and it did nothing for my pain. So NO weight loss can not be a pain relief maneuver in every case

2 years ago I lost 80 lb before my ankle surgery. I had the same amount of pain before the surgery. We could go today. I got a total knee replacement. I still had just as much pain even though I lost 80 lb 🤨

I lost 125 lbs. over 3 years during COVID. I lived in a house mostly carpeted with extra padding which helped my knees immensely. I moved to a condo, installed LVP (vinyl), and my pain went through the roof.
@borgullet33764 ай бұрын
@rundogrun297 because you Still have inflammation. Weight loss does not mean loss of inflammation. If you still have sugar/carbs in your diet. You can loose all the weight you want. But your aggravated Joint will Still Be On FIRE🔥
@lillian92213 ай бұрын
@@borgullet3376not too mention seed oils. Sunday's fish and chips kills my knee on Mondays. Add Saturday's gin and tonic and i can't move.

Wouldn't It depend how much you weigh to start with? If you weigh 350 lbs and you're 5'2" 20lbs wouldn't help. Junk and processed food don't help. And yes, muscle balance helps immensely.
@nooks124 ай бұрын
Is it really about weight loss? What about strength? Would a muscular but short guy have knee arthritis as much as an obese person who weighs the same?

How can I get subtitles for Dr David's talks here
@SueHawkins68164 ай бұрын
While playing the video tap the screen and you will see icons in the upper right corner of the screen. One of them says CC. Tap that icon and it will activate closed captioning/subtitles. Tap again and it will turn off.
