Above all covid forced me to reevaluate what really mattered to me. It showed me how crushing it can be to the soul to have little or no human interaction for extended periods of time. I know there are some people who spend their whole lives this way and it made me feel incredibly sad - so as a result I make the effort to reach out to people more and interact with people I normally wouldn’t. Sometimes a small interaction with someone is the only human interaction they will have all day ❤

This was brilliant!!! I've been struggling with some issues, and you certainly opened my eyes!! I was one of the fortunate ones to have avoided covid, Thank You, Lord!! I watched your show nightly before covid, during and after. You gave us hope. You shone a light on it like no other. I am truly grateful to you for all of your reporting at CNN. It's unfortunate how that ended, but I am still able to tune in to your wisdom (I'm comparing myself to you) and am truly grateful for all that you taught me!! Thank you ❤️

I never got Covid until November 2022(completely vaccinated). I have never been so sick. I couldn’t read, work, watch my iPhone or iPad. Worse sore throat I ever had. Doc looked in my throat and said oh yah, it’s red hot in there. He gave me Paxlovid. It made me sicker. I have asthma so that didn’t help. Here is what effects that have lasted. Asthma worse. Cant eat certain foods. Lost five pounds I didn’t need to lose, and never have gained back.

I thank you for sharing this with us today, Chris!!!!❤ In January 2022, my daughter was diagnosed with Covid. Only 2 days later, I got really sick, and was out of work for almost 2 weeks with extreme fatigue, low grade fever, congestion, a horrible cough, and loss of taste and smell. It was so frustrating, because my Covid tests were coming out negative. The doctors were convinced that I had the virus, even though the test wasn't showing it. The main reason for that was because my daughter had it, and I obviously contracted it from her. Over a year and a half later, my energy level has never been the same. I get exhausted from doing very little 😴. I have discussed this multiple times with my doctor, and they have jabbed me so many times taking blood, checking every avenue possible for the cause of my exhaustion. Vitamin levels are all normal, thyroid is normal, etc. etc. There is no other reason for how I feel except for the possibility that I have long haul. I have tried to exercise and go for walks. But it really doesn't work for me, and I can only do no more than 20 minutes at a time. My work hours have had to be restricted because of the exhaustion. Also, my already existing depression and anxiety got a trillion times worse since getting sick. It got to a point last September where my depression was clinical and I was on a serious precipice. I had to go on two antidepressants just to stay alive. It has been really rough, but I refuse to give up. I have fought breast cancer too, and continue to beat the odds as a survivor of a very aggressive form of the disease which has a high recurrence rate. I have to fight very hard also to raise my self esteem, which has been in the toilet for a very long time. It takes a lot of self talk to convince myself I am worthy. I love what you said about how you feel about yourself matters more than what others think. I am trying to work on this every day, and it is a work in progress. Every day is a learning experience. Thank you for being such a gift to us all, Chris. You are making such a huge difference to so many, and you are loved and appreciated. Be well, CCC ❤😊

I have always been what you call a free agent. My "nonconformity" has made me a social "outcast" over the years, I'm content with that. My happiness must come from within, my goals are self determinate, my needs are met by my own actions. I live simply, rejecting television 25 years ago was a life changer. I follow my own path; I'm learning everyday the things that matter to me. It works, follow your path

Wow, I am going to do my best to follow a new and better path, starting today. I’m feeling a lot lately that I’m glad I’m on my way out and not my way in!! I also think one of the worse things that happened to the planet was and is the WWW. Thank God I have my three sisters and some very close friends. I have an expression “people, nothing worse than people” and think this everyday with hateful comments on line. Did the Covid thing on day one of a five day cruise. In lockdown with every meal delivered every day, only a headache, nothing else. Disney credited me 100% of cost while feeding me every day. I do feel I have brain fog as an aftermath though. Chris, I watched your Covid coverage and thought your info would be helpful to anyone who resisted the vaccine. I’m glad I had my shot and will be in line for the upcoming vax. I actually felt like I got a seizure, I honestly thought I was having a seizure, I was sick for a long time. Never really had any kinda of medical issues. Now I feel I'm not the same since that day. I don't feel myself.and I can't explain it. I was so careful not to get sick. And then bam. I got sick. And to make matters worst I got someone else sick. That really destroyed me. I was responsible for someone getting sick. I'm stuck I feel stuck in my life. How do I forgive myself. You always been such a inspiration to me I really love hearing your thoughts on everything. Remember momma giving me a similar talk when I was in middle school and worried about popularity and approval. One week the other girls would love me and then the next they would decide I sucked. I said to my mom, “I don’t get it, I’ve been the same person the whole time. Nothing changed in me.” She said that “as long as I let the external world tell me my worth, I would be on a crazy rollercoaster ride.” If we want stability, we must keep our centers in yourselves.

Chris, It's your humanity and self-exploration that make you so special. None of us is "perfect", but not everyone has the courage to challenge themselves. You do! It makes you a better version of yourself. You can't always control how you feel, in the moment, but you can always control how you chose to behave around how you feel. No-one's opinion of you matters half as much as your opinion of yourself. We create our own world, by what we hold in our hearts & our minds. Think of how many different worlds there are in a single apartment building. We create the world that we live in. Sometimes people create their own hell, other times we create our own playground (searching for a positive image). Most of us live in a combination of both! Thank you for sharing with all of us. It takes courage! You are inspirational to anyone who is listening intently. You are setting an amazing, and emotionally healthy, example for all of us, and for your kids! No matter what you "say"... Nothing teaches quite like setting an example! As a special education teacher for many years, I have learned through experience, that people, (and especially children) learn by watching and emulating those around them, not by the words you choose to share. Though our words are still important, They don't hold a candle to our actions! May you and your family reap the many benefits of your hard work! 💕🇺🇸💕🇺🇸💕

Chris, I plead with you to do a show and deep research on Long Covid. Hardly anyone is addressing this and those of us who have it are in really lousy shape. For 2 1/2 years I went from a extremely active person to hardly being able to walk up a short hill. I and I’m sure many many more would be appreciative if you could do a show on this topic. There are millions of us now, and they still have no answers as to what’s causing it and therefore no cure. It’s like the way you felt in this video, but imagine having that kind of tiredness and worse going on for over two years.

At 60 years young, I am discovering this for the second time in my life. I am responsible for me yes…but also for you. I must consider how my thoughts, deeds and language impact others. I am perfectly imperfect and I will fail, but I MUST learn to love myself first, so I can love the rest of humankind. If only we could see how similar we all are, that we fear the same things. May God, Allah, Buddha whoever or whatever you worship, give you strength and bless you with wisdom and love! COVID came around the same time Trump-the-dump was being highlighted and I was dealing with cancer & 5 back surgeries…when it rains it pours. ⛈️🌧️☔️ I LOVED your show. You were my favorite on TV . When the Onchologists all said to stop watching the news 📰 (it’s been studied to actually scientifically be harmful to health) your show was all I’d allow myself. Why? It agreed with WHO I am inside (I think anyway). When you got COVID I prayed for you. It scared me. I listened to your doctor as well when you had him on. I had food delivered to my driveway, cleaned a lot outside with bleach (cans, etc) and had a method with a long ass table to process everything before it came into the house. Of course I masked when I eventually went out but was greeted by people everywhere here (Florida) who were upset that I even masked. One woman (a complete stranger) told me I didn’t “belong” in the local grocery store if I needed to wear a mask. I tried to tell her I was in my 70’s …and she cut me off. I tried to maneuver my cart away from her and just get a can of soup before leaving. It was a mess here in Trumpsterland! Everyone was pissed off at everyone…our maid (cleaner) quit because she loved Trump so much & we weren’t on her wagon. I was terrified I’d not make it through being so sick 😷…my neighbors turned on me because I was inferior liking Obama and not Trump. Everything went haywire here for me. I still want to move now but Hurricane IAN took a toll on us & we had to live 11 months in a trailer parked in our driveway. I’m alive, I see you are too. We are both probably surprised ❤since you’ve had your emotional ups & drastic downs. Well, you can tell your doctor I’m cancer free. No chemo, no radiation. But radical remissions happen when we radically change. We both did that. So here’s to you, here’s to me as well… what lies ahead only has to be welcomed with gratitude. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 oh ~ how many times did you get COVID? I toast to you, your wife, your daughters and brother ALL OF WHOM DESERVE A TOAST TO LIFE WELL LEAD 🥂

When you were in the basement, Melbourne Australia was in lockdown - the most locked down city in the world. We were only allowed out of our homes for 4 reasons - shop for essentials, medical care, 1 hr exercise within 5km of our homes and essential workers. We didn't have many cases of Covid here and the information about it was scarce. That's when I found you in your basement and I've followed you ever since. You gave me direct information about Covid as well as exploring information from outside sources to yourself. You then became part of my Covid routine to save my mental health. You would be live here 11am. I would get up, watch youtube news articles, answer emails and watch our Premier Dan Andrews give his daily briefing at 10am then watch you. Sometimes I was yelling with frustration at the situation in the US, so I'd watch you and Don, then a part of Don's show while getting ready to go out for my one hour walk. I'd come home, eat a keto/protein meal (first for the day) then do something with my daughter who was studying year 12 via remote. I lost 26kg/57 lbs during those months and my mental health and wellbeing was the best it had ever been - because I had time to spend on myself. Hence why I love your Walk & Talks.

First time I got it, I didn't know what the heck was going on with me (early 2020). My heart was beating very irregularly, I had nausea and I was incredibly exhausted. I was out of breath, I couldn't even talk. I felt like something completely alien to my reality (I'm not kidding) was invading my body. Covid is no joke. So many have passed, even some folks l knew personally. That was not a good time. We were all shut down, and yes, many lessons were learned. l hope for many, it was all lessons learned for the better. Many people did watch you CC when you had it too laying on your side. And prayers were sent out to you for recovery. People talk of good, people talk of bad....that's the name of the game in this world. We are all glad you've recovered....so many didn't. We all enjoyed the time when you and your brother AMC help us through this horrible time during Covid with your light humble humor that made us laugh and smile....we all needed that. Nevermind about the negative folks out there with stupid comments. They only wish they could have come up 1st for what you guys did to comfort the world...but they didnt. So that's the story. During lockdown at home the world enjoyed and we look forward to the 2 Cuomo brothers for relief and laughter to forget the pain for a minute on national TV. Now....once again, how about that dinner date with AMC ?

I admire your friendship with Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo. I admire your truth-telling. I trust your coverage. We need someone we can trust in these trying times. Thank you for putting yourself out there. It was quite a while before I knew you were on News Nation. I hope as others discover it, you top the ratings. We DESERVE the non-partisan truth, and you DESERVE the rewards for doing so! Nothing but love, brother!

So, the 💡 turned on about the after effects with Covid-19🤔 (Thank GOD so far…prayerfully I’m 1 and done🙏🏽!) However, this video woke up another area in my life that it was SO applicable too! Chris…”Thank You” for sharing your personal & political views with the world🙏🏽 I’m grateful for what the Cuomo men have contributed to society and how it will be recorded. I know Gov. Mario Cuomo is smiling down on his sons you and your brother continue the race and contribute to his legacy💯 GOD BLESS #FREEAGENT

You earned my respect when in the basement with COVID-19. I tuned into your brother daily for updates, not the White House. Completely lost respect for the Republican Maga who carelessly spread death to their family, friends, and co-workers in the name of freedom. So many of them died from attending Trump's many campaign rallies across America. The new variant is already here; New COVID-19 vaccines will be available around Sept 15th, and influenza vaccines will be on Sept 5th. 🌻

Chris, something good about Covid - my 79 year old brother in law had covid with a 10 day nonstop coughing spells, went to his Dr and they did blood work, only to find had Leukaemia. He is now 2 years into one pill a day and living life. He would never have gone to a Dr except for that continuing cough. So, maybe Covid saved his life??? Nonetheless, we are happy for him. Thanks for your Covid info. Love you lots.

I love your podcasts…..and this one is special….Chris, Chris oh Chris, you got it right. We are not what people think we are or what we need to be so people can like us. That is not the real me/you….getting past what people may think of you if you show them who you are is hard for most people to do or even want to do. In my older years as a 73 single independent, living on my own and doing it all with little help I came to the realization that I don’t care what people think about me, I don’t go alone with the norm. If I would I would not be unique and that is hiding underneath that we are. Unique beings. Unique doesn’t necessarily mean different because we are all human beings but I feel unique is being who God created without needing to follow any body’s thought of who we are or should be. Being a free agent is difficult to become because of exactly what you described. I came to the conclusion that I don’t have to like everyone and I don’t expect everyone to like me. I go with my flow not the flow of the norm or trend what ever that is. I learned to love myself and who I am and not concerned with other’s opinions. It is rejuvenating to have a sense of freedom to be who I truly am. And I’m still learning who truly I am and have stop becoming that unknown person that others think and want me to be so I can be accepted in their social ring. FREEDOM is a beautiful thing. Hope it lasts….LOL

We were very worried for you when you were sick. I watched everytime your brother would come on tv & youtube to give the updates on covid. His strength became my strength in a awful situation. My husband is and essential worker, My mom was not in good health, she passed on this month 2 yrs ago. I been asthmatic since the day I was born. I new from the jump that everyone needed to be masked. I bought gators for my family friends and his store it was all you could get in the begining. Try to get people to wear them was a different issue. I just wanted to say thank you both for everything you did. I miss my GOV!

I haven't even finished the video. Love it!!! You have to be a special person to sign up for what you did - being on camera nightly and in the public eye. I got COVID in the 3rd or 4th month of the pandemic (Way before vaccines) when I was hospitalized for an allergic reaction. It nearly killed me, I was touch and go in the ICU. Before COVID I was an energetic 40yr+ something, it aged me 20yrs. I feel like I am in my 60's. Doctors think it gave me diabetes, 3 months before I got COVID my blood work was great, 3 months after I get COVID I nearly went blind. I eat well and ride an exercise bike, I can't ride a real bike because it also affected my balance. My memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. I may sound depressed in this post but I am not. I was one of the lucky ones, MANY people never left the hospital including an ex classmate who was fit but found out he had a congenital heart defect at the exact wrong time or an ex classmate who's 17yr son was fit, played baseball & ran track but also had asthma and COVID took him quick. If all that COVID changed was your perspective then you are one of the VERY lucky ones. "I don't deserve it" is a waste of time & energy, NOBODY deserves to get very sick and/or die. "Fair" is nothing more than a human construct, it doesn't exist in the universe. Such is life.

Chrris, you and your brother helped us deal with Covid when we were so scared of this strange new virus. I have enjoyed watching you on tv, and watching you on the channel. I am always surprised when you say you are self loathing. How could this handsome, well spoken man who shared his life with all of us when he was ill, to help us, not understand how wonderful he really is? I have never been a follower. I tell my age, 61, if asked. I just had my first covid on August 8. I am diabetic and on insulin. I was given Paxlovid and I became very ill. I am amazed to this day that you continued working, sharing your Covid experiences to help others. I think that each of us are here for a reason, to fulfill a purpose. We must help others and learn to ask for help when we need it. You and your brother have done and continue to do good in this world and I thank you. Sending you virtual hugs from New Jersey!

When I set up my basement during quarantine to work on my ceramics I was able to focus on it intently for the first time in 25 years- really since college. I chose not to deep dive into social media (I did watch you- thank you for sharing your experience.) and instead dove deep into me- like you said: a time & space to focus inward w/out any noise. Covid quarantine brought me back to who & how I wanted to be when I was you. I grew my compassion & was able to be there for my mother in ways I had never been. My life changed & I’m grateful- for the losses and the gains.

I've been so obtuse all my life I never realize what others think of me, let alone care. I've had friends ask why I'm not mad or sad about something and I have to admit actually I just never noticed. This has benefitted me in so many ways, cushioning my psyche from things that upset other people. I don't overthink situations, nor do I agonize over decisions. I just get on with it. It's not that I don't have beliefs, opinions and values because I certainly do. What I don't have is a life swayed by the gale winds of politics, religion, greed or bigotry.

COVID killed an Aunt, Uncle and a few friends. It killed my wife's mother and some other of her family members. Last year, two years after the height of the pandemic I got COVID and I pulled through by the skin of my teeth. It was horrible! Hospitalized a few times. My daughter works in a hospital and has had COVID three times. Just last week and now my wife has it again for the second time. Luckily for me, I self isolated just in case. I don't want to go through that thing again. No one needs to tell me how real COVID is.

I learned a great deal about perception during the lengthy COVID lockdowns here in Canada as well - in particular Remote Viewing, which at its root is a meditation practice for giving yourself perceptual superpowers. You get it to work by opening the lines of communication with your own subconscious mind. By literally PRACTICING "Know Thyself" - by PRACTICING being in the "NOW" - by PRACTICING being TRUE to your inner self Historically, these superpowers have simply been called 'Intuition' - something we all have, but few of us harness because we are taught by the materialist worldview that it isn't reliable (when the opposite is true) When your Intuition is open and functioning properly, you are much less likely to be fooled by the dualistic triggering chaos that is the modern media sphere. It was life changing for me. I took this so far as to become a certified Intuitive Development Teacher (like one might get certified to teach Yoga or Meditation).

I've always had higher expectations and standards for myself, than I had for others, or than others had for me. Yet in some ways, I've failed to meet my standards or even theirs. Having failures, shortcomings, and even moments you're not proud of, is natural and human. Perfectionism kills, we're all entitled to some stress reduction, time away from being mission-focused and fighting all the fights. Sometimes I feel a need to make the world a better place in every way I can, no matter the toll on myself. Sometimes I feel a need to take a path of least resistance and just enjoy the journey through life, almost like flying under the radar avoiding conflict, letting myself smell the roses. Be who you want to be. Do what you want to do. Hopefully while balancing it in a way that helps others do the same for themselves, and doing them no harm. I'm 66 and sometimes feel that the clock has started ticking down. Time to simplify, tie up loose ends, and live more exactly as I wish. Sometimes I feel obligated to not do too much of that, to keep my foot on the gas pedal helping those close to me, especially my kids. Just as my parents often did for my siblings and me. Many happy balances are on the menu to choose from. Many possible and impossible quests are also. Not making a choice, is one of the choices. Then you get the scraps of others, or nothing, or the special of the day that life serves up. Some people who wander through life without goals or motivation, end up happy while others do not. Know thyself.
