I have been on the other end of this as a parent. I had my daughter turned against me for a number of years. I'm just waiting for her to become an adult so that she can see the facts for herself. Great videos! I am the “Targeted Father”. One thing I might add that others should be aware of is the alienation starting before the divorce or separation started. I remember now back to certain events and things I thought were really weird and now realize it’s because my ex didn’t want me to develop the close relationship with my daughter. She purposely using alienating things even 5 years before the divorce. It’s just such a sickness in the head of the alienator. They are not emotionally healthy and in my case, they are an emotional toddler.

How did you realize the beliefs were false? Your video is all 100% correct. The most painful thing is the brainwashing they do to their own child about themselves. Thank you for your strength. Yes the projection -- mirrors what they are. This is because you ‘feel the abuse’ and by projecting that to someone else, you have a cause and effect for your pain and abuse. You believe it because you love and trust the abuser and it is really hard to believe your own parent and the one you have trusted so long is actually the one doing harm to you. Stay strong.

It is also the most painful thing for us as the father to watch and not be able to do anything about it. We are supposed to protect our daughters but we are really powerless. ​@georgiakritikos4955 Nobody complains when they benefit from it. Men do it, but it's pushed and done by more women to maintain control over the ex partner it comes with child support and alimony. Until you are on the opposite end or watching your son or brother suffering then it matters. My opinion on all of this is to collectively file a federal law suit against the government. You can not have equal rights and equal protection when one parent has all the control it doesn't matter what happened in the relationship don't involve the kids. I believe that some people don't want acknowledge it's real because you can't give a pill to fix it. Or they believe that how could a person ever do that. Because they cant wrap their head around I they deny it. You can't deny a person's personal experience and tell them it's not real. Same to me , I'm French, the mother is Japanese , for 15 years I thought the issue with my children was the cultural gap between the parents. Then I spent hundreds of hours of analysis & research. Finally I came to the conclusion that this was a typical case of parental alienation since my two children were 3-5 years old.

I've been alienated from my three children who are now 15 17 and 19. I was an amazing parent to them until I decided to leave my wife. she was narcissistic and abusive. she slowly brainwashed the kids drop by drop... 😢. I have tried everything over the past 5 years to reconnect with them, but they simply will not reply to any of my messages or texts or calls. their mom is controlling and extremely dominant... Your videos help add one of the last pieces of the puzzle that we alienated parents are looking for - a personal insight from the vulnerable child. Despite the added pieces of the puzzle, I'm still struggling with some question marks, so look forward to many more episodes from you. Your story confirms a lot of my thoughts about what is happening in my daughter's life. A beloved daughter whom I haven't had the chance to meet or talk to in over three years. All previous conversations with (many times naive) psychologists, therapists and other "experts" feel completely redundant. They make cheap projections and yes the best part was that she many times called me a narcissist. What a joke! I know all the phrases like "You never cared about me. You have done nothing for me". My daughter hasn't slept in my home since 2005, when she was 13. This is when a daughter needs her Mother. I don't know when her period started!!!!! Her Dad does though. You’re ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about the pathological parent and their projection. My ex is deeply mentally ill. Multiple doctors, psychologists, and at least 5 other mental health providers told her she needed serious testing and likely intensive inpatient treatment. I spent 5 years trying to get her to agree to get help. She refused and I finally filed for divorce after 5 years of aggressive threats of divorce from her. Since then, she falsely claims to anyone that will listen that I’m deeply mentally ill and severely abusive. I’ve learned during my case (false DV claims and divorce/custody) that I can now successfully predict her moves and abusive patterns by simply paying attention to her accusations at the time.

My children were in on the prank to get Dad removed as they told their friends before I was Ex-partee ordered. My children then were swimming in money every time I went to Court. After 10 years not seeing any of them I had to bury them for my mental health wellnesses. Two years after Judge #22 cut the money tree down the one son shows up and asks about the tree what happened to it. He was so Angry, Mad, Upset, Violent swearing I was to call the Police on him. I talked with him and answered his questions and now he wants to see me all the time. My ex-wife started on my kids. Looking back now about four years before the divorce. My ex-wife eventually got my two eldest daughters to accuse me of sexual abuse, and I had to fight 17 charges in the district court of Western Australia. I was found not guilty because they couldn’t believe their lies, even though I had they had a refresher from the prosecution, the Thursday before the trial started. The trial took nine days in total and cost around $1 million. I haven’t seen my two eldest daughters in 2017 and my two younger children since 2019. My ex-wife has taken out restraining order against me on behalf of them all and she has also manage to have all the family court orders cancelled, so I can’t see them whatsoever.

I’m glad kids are hearing this is a thing. My own kids used to look at me like I had 2 heads. I have no idea what they were being told. Except Mr. Porn king told them I was cheating. You are absolutely amazing. I am a step mom who threw myself into trying to help my three step kids and I loved (still do) them so. But I made the mistake of trying to enter the momma bear den and now they are gone from our lives. I think often about what I could have done better etc but at the end of the day its going to take people like you to keep getting this word out there. They left us all on the turn of a dime without any warning and its been years now. My husband is so devastated but decided to finally let go so he wouldn't literally implode. We find out things about them online and get excited when we see good things they are doing but the hardest part is that they literally hate us and we had such love when they were little. It should not go unnoticed all the step parents who's lives have literally been ruined by the devastation of giving up everything to try and save etc... I blame myself a lot and I am sure you know about Borderline Personality disorder and how it is the silent undiagnosed thing of a lot of mothers. Usually the father may be slightly on the spectrum and the "new wife" is usually an over caretaker... a big mess really. I wanted to write a book but I had to let it all go. Keep up your brilliant work and I can't tell you how many you may help break that crack in the concrete you talk about. I salute you.

My two grown daughters, my only children, turned completely against me when their father left me after 26 years. I was completely blindsided because the girls and I had always been so close. The two of them haven't forgiven me for being the first to serve papers. It's been over a year, and I haven't seen them in 10 months. My elder daughter won't communicate with me at all. However, my younger child has texted me a few times since the holidays. The texts are supportive yet distant in tone. You've reinforced my impression that she is, perhaps, "testing the waters" because she realizes what has actually happened. It was months before I understood that my former husband had been influencing them against me their whole lives. Little things came back to my mind as time passed. Then, as I learned more about Narcissism and parental alienation, I began to understand why my family fractured as it did. I'm so grateful God led me to your videos! You've confirmed my hope that my second daughter, at least, is courageously taking steps to allow me back in her life. My heart genuinely hurts for children and parents who endure this kind of mistreatment and abuse. It's diabolical...

This is a great video! The only thing I’d like to add or correct is that if/when the courts get involved, they don't help. The courts, in most circumstances, do not recognize parental alienation, and they do not help you get your children back if you are losing them to the alienating parent.

Wow! Everything you said is completely what my dad has gone through with his ex (who’s a covert narcissist parental alienator). She always tries to paint him as a bad dad any chance she gets. It got so bad with her lies & disturbing abusive texts (with my siblings copied 😖) that he had to go no contact with her so they do not communicate anymore. My dad & I are grateful to have a great relationship with my two brothers (my sister is alienated). Did you ever consult with your brothers about what was happening?? You can talk to Dr Bernet, but I personally believe the reason a lot of adult kids don’t reach out and unify is do to guilt, shame and a fear of knowing the truth combined with broken trust of an influential devaluating parent. I strongly encourage alienated parents to learn all they can from adult children who’ve found their way and psychologist who help them understand the personality disorders of the alienating parent. This MUST be taken on in different directions to successfully have a healthy reunification.

Madi, I copy and pasted the web link to one of your videos in a text message to my 28 year old son. I do not know if he opened it. I told him what a brave young woman you are for starting these projects and making the videos. His reply was "I see" and I do hope he watched the video. Perhaps there will be some understanding from the videos and the people's comments. I want him to know how much I love him and how sorry I am that the Step Monster did the alienation and filled his young mind with so many lies.
