I barely even look at my phone. My PC is enough. I just find the smartphone redundant and meaningless in my life. Phones used to be used to connect with others in the real world but now they are just boredom killers. I make conscious effort to find things to do AWAY from my addictive devices. Live your life people. Connect in the real world with others and with nature and more importantly with YOURSELVES.

Worst part is that they don’t answer your messages right away and they are always looking at the phone. They don’t care about you even when you are not with them

This is so spot on - living with a partner who is utterly phone obsessed. He even sleeps with phone!

He's totally right. I find it very annoying when someone I'm talking to, that their phone is in their hand. Sometimes it is so bad that they scroll through their social media accounts in the middle of a conversation. Very unpolite 😤. Me, myself, forget a lot of times to take my phone with me. And actually a lot of times I don't know where I left it. And most of the day I turned of the sound. 🤭 Luckily I'm not contaged with fomo.

I had a date like that recently. I never check my phone during a date, they have my full attention, no matter if I felt something towards them or not. With one girl things started really well, we started talking and it was very nice, but then she brought up her phone and started chatting with other people and I felt like she was barely listening. It was a huge turn off. Afterwards she wanted to go out again, but I just didn't feel it anymore

When I did background acting we had a lot of down time with others just sitting in chairs in a holding area. Everyone there had their head down and was zoned out into their phones.

2 years ago. I had an autism-test at the hospital, weekly appointments such and such. Every. Single. Time. She walked in with that thing in hand. I should've said something. Because now, that's the thing that makes me doubt the integrity of the research. Hairloss, a wart, broken finger, i don't care. Walk in with your phone. But Not, when dealing with the Mind, Brain and Spirit.

Clearly you've never had a job where you needed to use your phone for clientele, delivery of product, and evolving events that need to be kept an eye on.

It's not a trick. This is old school, and I always try to be very aware of my phone use when I am interacting other people. I just remember to think, how would I like to be treated?

This is true and I hear you, but we have literally never been this close to ww3.. do you want to be the one not looking up in the sky to see something your phone is trying to notify you about? Could be a bird, could be a plane on fire! Could be superman!! Bottomline is we just have to keep an eye on current events and what's happening in our world if we want to ever be moral these days. It's not tiptoe through the tulips with Tanya time it's shit alot of bad stuff could be taking place in your area and you'd be blind. Your basically turning a blind eye to the world for the sake of not hurting someone's very personal feelings about social etiquette.

The first step witch i think easy is that never use your gatget when you are in your bedroom alone but use it in family room so you can be more productive and train your brain to not be dependent to gatget and it also can prevent you to watch a wrong thing and be more mindful of what you watching bc we have shame if other people see us even just to do unconscious scrolling, not like when we are alone. May God help all of us. Good luck

It’s about what you’re doing on it that matters.

No it's about what the phone means to our ever growing more disturbing world and how we personally will be impacted by at the moment by some evolving event that needs to be kept an eye on...
@GodfuI11 ай бұрын
@@C_Hart Exactly, so like i said, “Its about what you’re doing on it“. That could mean checking the time, alarm, studying etc. Things that actually matter. Of course we (don’t need) phones for all of those things but since we have them, we should use them to our advantage, but only for what matters. NOT SCROLLING THROUGH ANY SOCIAL MEDIA KEEPING YOURSELF DISTRACTED. (Did you think about what i said before you typed that?)

You can show someone is important to you by actually putting your phone on the table and ignoring a notification.
@typical_snowflake Жыл бұрын
What you say is a way to arrange your way by mixing your need to have your phone beside you and to show some kind of interest to the person too. Don't mix things, be one and whole to what you do. People can sense when you're adjusting your needs for yourself only.

I disagree, the phone needs to stay in your pocket or in the car.
@idontevenlikemoney Жыл бұрын
I disagree. @CarnalEssence live your own life. I had a very nice sushi date with my girlfriend today where both of our phones were on the table, and yet we had long and insightful conversations. I don't think i'm less important than someone elses phone beacuse i'm not a fucking idiot.
@CarnalEssence Жыл бұрын
@@idontevenlikemoney when people keep their phones on the table I usually means they’re attached to it. You aren’t present enough in the situation to completely put your phones away. Subconsciously the both of you are just waiting for a notification to come through. That’s the issue with this generation..
@d_no_allyn_86 Жыл бұрын
Yeah but it's a bigger gesture to not even have it in arms length. Why do you need it for that dinner or whatever you planned to do for an hour. Life is not so drastically different than it was 10 or 15 years ago that you actually need your phone to live lol or that someone else will be in absolute danger without you for 40 minutes while you're out to dinner with someone. People can put their phones away. They can.
