I agree with adding more color in your color palette! Just adds a point of interest and brings out the blue of your eyes!

Your idea of a mini mommy capsule has helped me a lot. My t-shirts are super hard working in my wardrobe and what you helped me see is that I need to separate mommy t-shirts from work t-shirts. I can't wait to learn more about your approach.

About 5 years ago I started moving from black, white, gray to navy, gray and colors more suited to MY coloring. It takes awhile but is more flattering for me. I’ve enjoyed you slowly moving color into your wardrobe.

Struggling with mental and physical health I struggled with my shopping habits and with my wardrobe. Always hoping garment will make me feel better. I need to come back on track with a capsule wardrobe which I like and is fitting. I realize, that everything is just something in my mind...

My sister is a new mum and she's struggling to figure out what to do with her old clothes, how to dress for her new body.. I like your approach to this process. Feels less rushed and so well thought through. I know when you're creating content on KZbin it may sometimes feel a bit pointless and even vain, but you're really making a difference with the work you do helping so many women to feel more confident 💕

Right now I’m in the process of replacing and adding many pieces to my wardrobe. I haven’t shopped in a very long time. My style has changed so I’m still trying to make the old pieces work for the new me while adding here and there :)

I agree with making a mini capsule with mummy/ leasure items. It is just a part of life! 🥰 I made many small capsules: 1 Gardening (house) 2 Walking the dog ( house & appartment) 3 Appartment & 4 House as they differ alot. House is just leasure & an occasional pub evening in the country side. Appartment is shopping, restaurants , koncerts & theater etc. Gardening is quite obvious & waking the dog needed in our Scaninavian rainy & hot or cold climat. I do get muddy! Now I also have a small grandchilden capsule. Things from the other capsules, or just for that capsul, that are easily washed and can wear & tear but look ok if we go out. They are like a Venn diagram all of the capsules 😂 It is amazing to have them as you always now what you can wear, wherever you go and are never out of cloths that are right for the occasion comming up! Taken lots of inspiration from you 🙏❤️ Thank You!

Like you, I look best in softer colors and have started moving black away from my face, which isn’t a major change for me. I also love anything blue! I have picked up prints in the past because they had beautiful colors, but now I’m focusing more on solids. I have recently rediscovered my edge and now have 3 leather jackets - all classy and in different styles, but fun! I learn something new with every video you share. Thank you!

Such a good video. I am learning to be more creative with what I have instead of always looking for the next new thing. I have also been doing a project phase out. Items I don’t love as much as I use to but not ready to let go of, I commit to just wearing and then allowing myself to phase out. I know that is over the top and I should just let them go but it eases my guilt.

I'm so happy for you that you are introducing some soft colours into your wardrobe! They compliment you so much, and life isn't life without some colours :) Red also suits you wonderfully, like your red jumper. I have your eye and hair colour and light complexion, and love neutrals - with a soft spot for navy blue - I"m French :) - BUT also always have had several colours that suit me in my wardrobe. They make almost infinite outfit combinations, excellent if you like being creative, and economical (because you'll be less tempted to buy new items in a colour that suddenly becomes trendy for the season/year, if you already have some of this colour in your wardrobe.

I think a change in season is such a good time to rethink the closet. I am adding a bit more color in too this season. It took me a minute to decide what colors … burgundy, green, a warm brown & charcoal grey in tops or sweaters. I love blouses and have a good collection but I recently added a lace blouse that I just love. ❤

Now that I've defined my wardrobe's color palette and what looks good on me for the long-term, I'm trying my best to not only style what I already have, but to also fill in the gaps when needed. There's still a part of me that enjoys playing with trends... it's all about balance now for me in all honesty. I'd say that like you, I'm not someone who can rigidly stick to a no buy challenge; most the time, I prefer going on the low-buy challenge.
@evalindell27572 жыл бұрын
I think the challenge for different months were great. All of them didn’t really fit in to my life but I have rewritten them in a challenge for myself this autumn and next year. I would love if you did another one as I have no fantacy and can’t make up any new challenges of my own… Love what you do I have been inspired soo many times and now my wardrobe starts feeling like a capsul! 🥰😘😘

Creating a mini capsule wardrobe for weekends and "mom time" sounds like a really good idea! I work in daycare (barnehage) and I have two wardrobes. One for work and one for weekends. I make sure both wardrobes feel like me, but I tailor them to each lifestyle. This has worked really well. So definitely try it!

My wardrobe consists of 4 sections related to function. Main all year round wardrobe has 34 clothes. Work (office environment) all year round wardrobe has 12 clothes. Special occasion / formal event has 4 dresses. Specific weather (Autumn - Winter), 3 items - rain jacket, thermal long line puffer jacket and snow boots. l work part time so a small capsule works well for me. l change out of my work wear as soon as l'm home, to keep clothes clean. My everyday main wardrobe is from casual to semi formal. Jeans and tops are my staple as a parent, and easily replaced when required. When you have young children its great to have colour in your wardrobe. Colours also affect people around you - chromatherapy and dopamine dressing have powerful effects. l used to be a primary / elementary teacher. My principal insisted on junior grade teachers, teaching 5-8 year olds, wearing colour especially on top, because children respond to colour. Black was ok as a bottom.

Such a nice and intersting video! You mention so many of my own thoughts regarding my wardrobe. I also am doing a low buy challange, but I have to admit that I bought several pairs of jeans this year which doesn't make me feel very good, but I have worn low or mid waist skinny jeans for some decades and now I can't see them any more (I really prefer high waist slim fitted or wide leg jeans). Now I have all these jeans which I don't like to wear anymore, I tried to sell them, but until now nowone wanted them 😬. I also would like to add some more colour in my wardrobe, would be interesting which peaces you are going to add in the future. The same is with blazers, I have been looking for a perfect one since a very long time, but still haven't found it. I am looking forward to your wardrobe processes!

Not sure if this is an option for you, but for the sunglasses, you could replace the lenses. They may not say Ray-Ban on them anymore but it could be another alternative to second hand.

100% - I had the lenses replaced on my 10yr old Oakley's this summer - far cheaper and more sustainable (plus Oakley don't make that frame any more so they couldn't be replaced new)!
