One of the reasons Sasori is my favorite character, is that he's clearly extremely powerful, but his abilities aren't about making sussanos or having a cooler eye than everyone else. It was traps and toxins, specifically engineered for assassination.

The problem is that Zabuza was created when Naruto was actually about ninjas with stealth and assassination and stuff. So of course compared to the later part of the series he seems weak when everyone is throwing huge AF ninjutsu, bijuu bombs etc. Remember, the biggest ninjutsu at his time was the Water Dragon which took forever to do. His main niche is really the Hidden Mist to, you know, be an actual ninja assassin

Zabusa was part of the era where hand signs actually mattered. A time when the ninjas of the Naruto world were much closer to actual ninjas rather than warrior mages. That’s my opinion though. Edit: grammar. Edit 2: I see a lot of people taking what I said as a complaint about the show, that was not my intent. I love the show even after they drifted away from the concept of a “ninja”. I was making an observation in terms of why Zabusa’s scaling is a little wonky when compared to other characters later on in the series. Whether or not the characters in this series were ever truly “ninja like” doesn’t bother me. “Ninjas” and “warrior mages” are equally cool in my eyes.

@@hakimonn I've always maintained that they gave us a huge sign from the very beginning of the series where they were ultimately going to wind up power wise, when they talked about the strength of the nine tails. The fight between Naruto and Gaara, or Naruto and Sasuke at the Valley of the end in part 1, made it clear to me that they were going to have a shit ton of destructive force as they got older. Naruto was unleashing roars that seemed to shake the valley before he even manifested a tail. The biggest things that shifted were that the types of strategies used as their power grew, and we unfortunately saw less hand to hand combat. I agree that part one and part two are very different though.

People wanted it cuz it boosted their chakara and regeneration by a great amount. It's hard to control so only a few people can have it. It can also give some people wood style and sealing for the jinurickhis I think. Or the sealing came from the rinnegon. Not 100 percent on it. Anyways, it's shown many times that having a ton of chakara makes u powerful by itself like kisame or guy. Those two were chakara monsters and are considered top tier. I think we never see kisame full power cuz he either lost his sword which gave him chakara or went easy on some one like he did with bee. Anyways, having tons of chakara makes someone top tier which is what the dna does. Getting the dna can kill u like it almost did with danzo.

You should talk a little about his origin story, in the village of the hidden mist. Its one of the best back stories in t he show, and really fleshes out why Zabuza is so terrifying as a character. And his bond with Haku reveals that Zabuza has the emotional depth and complexity required to reach high levels of skill as well, as training and growing stronger in Naruto is very much a team effort for characters that aren't once in a generation talents.

The arc was full of action, progressed characters, opened our minds to the possibility of ninjutsu, introduced powerful enemies, and revealed 9 tail power...but the ending....WOW. Zabuza respectfully being placed next to Haku's body by Kakashi and the expression of love Zabuza finally revealed to Haku in his last moments...the music, the snow, the tear...loved every single bit of it. This arc is an absolute masterpiece and convinced me to follow Naruto for 10+ years, waiting anxiously every week for the new manga.

Asuma wind style could probably cut through his blade. Zabuza could win if he had the drop on Asuma but I believe Asuma would win in a far fight. Also Asuma fire style is strong but I think zabuza water stlye is stronger and more refine. If zabuza flanks he could win, but i think Asuma wins most of the time. It would be a close fight. If Asuma uses wind stlye, it's game over though.

I don't think that Asuma would be able to cut through the greatsword Zabuza had, I mean, we've seen some crazy shit, but you would assume that had someone been able to with wind style it would have happened. Besides that, Zabuza's hidden mist jutsu is really powerful. I think it'd be close but overall I'd give it to Zabuza since he's a lot more stealthy and beat Kakashi which I would put above Asuma basically any time.

Lighting style can pirece about anything which broke the sword. It's hard to say honestly. I'm sticking with asuma on this one but depends with zabuza can stealth kill asuma. I'm not sure how good asuma is at detecting people. I main thing i know about asuma is that he is more of a old school fighter. Would be a good fight to say the least. I would say wind stlye is rare in the show. That's why we haven't seen it break like u said. I'm not sure what can or can't break his sword. I'm guessing wind style can but it depends on the user skill with it. Danzo can cut with his style while naruto more of a explosion. I don't have enough info on wind stlye to really go on here. All I can say for sure is that it would most likey hurt and leave a scratch at the least.

Zabuza isn't weak, and is low kage/high jonin level like Kakashi. Kakashi in this time isn't shit either, he's been a fucking Anbu Captain and killed plenty of high ranked Jonin. You also used Hidan, who is a weak character only considered S rank since he's immortal. Hidan doesn't come fucking close to Zabuza in terms of physical prowess, nor jutsu strength, as his only attack is just trying to hit someone with his scythe which wouldn't work if he can't hit his opponent, he was never shown to be incredibly proficient at hitting people either. Gaara would've been killed by Zabuza since his sand would have been hit by water and slowed to the point where he could probably not defend against attacks, and Zabuza would have had an easy kill. Rock Lee has gates and I mean is the strongest fighter pre time skip easily with them, only losing to Gaara since he held back in the beginning of fighting him. I could counter the fact that Asuma probably doesn't just have a jutsu dedicated to blowing away mist in all directions, besides that, it would have a range limit and the mist would come back. Also have no clue what "that buddha jutsu shit" is. Who was Zabuza? A villain from a time in Naruto where it wasn't shit. Wind style, like you said, depends on the user, and I don't think Asuma has the strength to cut the sword, espically with Zabuza holding it and what not. Wind style is rare in all areas except for the Land of Wind or the Village Hidden in the Sand. Each area has their nature's which corresponds to the Land they're in.

It depends Zabuza is an assasin so from the jump he has a massive advantage of speed and stealth. In an open fight he might lose, but if he uses his hidden mist technique it's a wrap. I think Zabua would throttle Asuma and pretty much any other leaf jounin that doesn't have sharingan/byakugan.

Probably around very high elite jonin level to extremely low kage level. So still one of the strongest ninja alive at the time of his death. I mean it took Kakashi, one of the leafs strongest ninja to beat him. And Kakashi pretty much lost their first fight, since he would have died had it not been for Naruto and Sasuke. Also, he'd definitely beat Zetsu, and probably Hidan as well.

Everyone can kill white zetsu that thing is basically cannon fodder. But yeah I agree that he will also be able to beat Hidan considering that Hidan only uses that one jutsu where he curses his opponents and I don't think he can catch Zabuza to take drops of blood because of Zabuza's hidden mist silent killing. I know that Kaguya ate the fruit and shared some of her Chakra with Hagaromo and Hamura. But does this mean that everyone else having Chakra is beacuse Hagoromo shared it through Ninshu or did everyone have Chakra already and it just needed to be activated? 2. How did the modern Otsutsuki clan come to be, the one which Kimimmaro was part of? As far as I know Kaguya had only 2 sons Hagoromo and Hamura. Hagoromo in turn had 2 sons which are the ancestors of Senju and Uchiha and Hamura had 2 branches(I guess) - Hyuga and Moon Otsutsuki.

You forgot to mention to mention that Zabuza made an assassination attempt on Yagura, the Fourth Mizukage. While he didn't kill him he survived and this attempt must have not been a one sided affair. Zabuza was gathering funds to launch another attempt on Yagura's life, which means that even after failing once, Zabuza was confident that he could kill Yagura with more training and another chance. Yagura was a Kage-Level Jinchuriki. The fact that Zabuza could survive a fight with him and still believe that he could potentially succeed in a second attempt seems to point that he is easily a lower Kage-Level shinobi.

Zabuza was a great ninja in naruto if he had stayed alive in shippuden it would have been interesting to see how he fights the akatsuki he would have caused problems for sure. He was immediately sealed in the war, but if they hadn't sealed him and Haku, they would have caused a lot of damage in the field, the reason they were sealed quickly is that Kakashi knew how to fool and found a way to get to him. You Should Do a How strong was the Uzumaki Clan video, it is a farely deep rabbit hole to go down. Why the Uzumaki was the most powerful clan Firstly I'm gonna start off with what I consider one of the most important factors about the Uzumaki, their lifespans. Recently in the Boruto anime it is revealed that Koharu and Homura were revealed to still be alive, and I'm assuming that this is nearing the end of the average Shinobi's natural lifespan. In chapter 579 page 11 of the Naruto Manga, depending on the translation, Kabuto says that the Uzumaki clan were known for their Strong life forces and extended lifespans. What I take this to mean is that, if not killed in battle, most Uzumaki would live towards 110- 115 giving them a lifespan 25 years longer than what I'm assuming is the average shinobi lifespan of around 90. What that means is that they, the Uzumaki, are in their prime 20-25 years longer than the average shinobi. What the extended lifespan means in terms of the Naruto-verse is that the Shinobi of the Uzumaki clan would be able to continue training growing stronger by honing skills, physical training, and developing new techniques well past what would normally be considered the upper limit of a Shinobi's prime age, furthermore this would cause the Uzumaki clan to produce more A and S-rank shinobi than any other clan (and possibly village due to them being large enough to warrant forming their own village of Uzushiogakure) because they would essentially have another 10-15 years of training and Shinobi activity before their skills begin to decline because of muscle degradation due to aging. Secondly, I think people underestimate how powerful the Adamantine Sealing Chains are. One of the main points I would like to get across is that contrary to popular belief the Chains are not a Kekkei Genkai, according to the Fourth Databook page 253 it is, in fact, a Hijutsu (Secret Technique). The next thing is that according to Orochimaru in episode 408 of Naruto Shippuden the Chains could bind the targets chakra completely neutralizing them. Additionally because its a Hidden Jutsu of a Clan most likely the Jutsu was known by all of the Shinobi of the Uzumaki similar to how the Ino-Shika-Cho trio of clans knew their jutsu. What this means is that while all of the clan members may not be on Kushina's level with the Chains they all had an ability that could basically neutralize any other shinobi. However I would refute my own point thereby drawing attention to that even a weakened Kushina was able to subdue Kurama, the most powerful of the Nine Bijuu, with her chains so much so that she asks if she should pull Kurama into herself so that they could die together, as well as forming a barrier so strong that Hiruzen Sarutobi says he couldn't get through it. Now she was very weakened there possibly around 20-30% of what she was normally, probably even lower as she was further weakend due to childbirth. This leads me to believe that the most powerful of the Uzumaki most likely would've been able to take down forces in the range of 10k-15k by themselves by using the chains. My logic here is that the Hachibi scales to the Sandaime Raikage who scales to 10k shinobi and a weakend Kushina Scales to subduing Nine Tails thus I think Top Uzumaki shinobi would scale in excess 10k shinobi. (Yea Kishimoto kind of screwed himself by saying they fell during a war cause after actually looking at I don't think this should've been possible unless someone approaching Edo Madara's Power Level was involved. And bijuu clearly weren't involved as the manga shows that the buildings are destroyed by siege and not getting hit by the Naruto-verse version of a Nuke, don't believe me? Look at chapter 500 page 4 and then at Nagasaki aftermath photos and tell me a bijudama was used on Uzushio.) An example of this level of power is when Karin uses an incomplete version of the chains in Chapter 663 of the manga to take down jutsu similar to, but admitedly weaker than, Hashirama's Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands which was Tobi's Wood Release: Several Hundred Hands. Now given that Karin's version of the jutsu was incomplete I'll rank her at about 25% of what an Uzumaki with the jutsu mastered and experience of using it in battle, were as I'll rank Tobi's jutsu at 15% of what Hashirama's was, leading to my conclusion that the upper 5-10% of the Uzumaki clan was within about 65-75% of Hashirama, interms of destructive power. I don't really think that Orochimaru in that same page was talking about Karin's power level when he says "The Same Power as Uzumaki Kushina" but instead he's talking about her using the Chakra Chains. Next I would like to point out the other abilities that Uzumaki clan had that we see in Karin: her sensing ability and healing ability. First of the two is the sensing ability, however there is no definitive way to know if this is another Hijutsu or if it is a unique trait that only some of the Uzumaki clan possess as the Third Databook is conflicting on this idea. The sensing skill is about 50% of the potential of the byakugan when not focusing solely on sensing ability, with Hinata having a range of greater than 20km in The Last and Karin having a range said to be in excess of 10km in its base ability in chapter 386 pages 4 and 5. As well the Third Databook says on page 67 that its ability to observe people's movements and the User's surroundings surpasses Dojutsu with similar abilities. What this would mean for the Uzumaki as a military force is that even if only 10% of the clan possessed this ability any group of shinobi with more than 10 members would have high likelyhood of having a sensor strong enough so that they couldn't be ambushed. Second of the two is the healing ability Karin demonstrates, this is simply a proof of how durable Uzumaki can be as Karin is shown taking what I would assume is a killing blow only to bite herself and end up being fine in chapter 663 page 9, as well this ability is shown when Sasuke fights Killer Bee were Sasuke recieves bassically a killing blow from Bee's sword attack and Karin is able to heal him. Finally I would like to get to the Uzumaki's prowess in fuinjutsu, not much fuinjutsu is actually shown in Naruto so most of what does exist is Fannon and not actual fuinjutsu that exists in the Naruto-verse, that being said I do believe many of the seals we do see could be extrapolated to being used by the Uzumaki. First of these is Elemental seals which is only glimpsed at when Orochimaru uses the Five Element Seal on Naruto in the Forest of Death, it is very possible that most of the Uzumaki clan knew this seal which can give a massive advantage in taijutsu as it causes the target to go unconscious. Next is the Chakra Draining Seal, it may infact be possible to use these similar to a seal that Jiraiya uses to supress the Ninetails in the filler In Naruto's Footsteps: The Friends' Paths. Third is the Fuinjutsu trap Orochimaru uses against Kakashi where he can't use his Raikiri to destroy, but notes there would be several was to escape, I assume that an Uzumaki variant of the Seal would have less or no weaknesses as the Uzumaki were renowned for their fuinjutsu being better then anyone else's. What most would counter with is that "If fuinjutsu was so powerful why didn't Jiraiya teach Naruto any when he took him on his training trip?" what I would counter with is that Jiraiya clearly wasn't a master to the level of someone like Mito, Kushina, Minato, or Orochimaru. The reason he wasn't at the level of Mito or Kushina is because he didn't have Chakra chains or teaching from the Uzumaki clan. As for Orochimaru, Jiraiya couldn't figure out the Cursed seal. Finally the reason he wasn't at Minato's level is because he never developed his own version of the Hiraishin which can be assumed to be based in fuinjutsu by looking at how the marker for the jutsu works, so much so that the Second Data book likens it to a Juinjutsu, something cousin to fuinjutsu.

@Hydrax 313 it's shown and told that garra slow as hell. Garra strong cuz his sand armor has to weigh a ton plus he carries his gourd which has to way a ton also. His sand is fast acts on its own. Zabuza is fast but not as fast as haku and I believe the sand is faster. If anyone can beat the sand speed, Garra has the armor which can take a great deal of punishment. Plus doesn't water make sand harder? I can't remember exactly how that works. I'm in a landlocked state. Either way u look at it, zabuza would have massive trouble with garra sand which ure forced to deal with. Honestly haku would have a better chance than zabuza. Haku faster than most characters.

Water is actually a really bad match up for Gaara, and would lose to Zabuza pretty easily probably. There was a light novel for Naruto (not really canon but it does show how it would work) where Gaara as a kage fought some dude as he was part of a compsiracy, and he used water from underground and that I think made Gaara's sand sluggish and hard to use. Zabuza also has the hidden mist jutsu which wouldn't get around the automatic defense but it means that Gaara would have a hard time seeing stuff like water jutsu coming at him from different directions. I'd give it pretty easily to Zabuza, just because his water jutsu can wreck Gaara's sand shield. I love ma boi Gaara but man does this matchup suck for him.

I’d have to disagree with you here. Kid gaara was barely stronger than lee and then bass guy came in and was like enough with this shit and kakashi in base is relative or stronger than base guy. While Hidan could probably best Zabuza in a straight 1v1 no tactics CQC, he's pretty fucked if Zabuza can use his mist. Hidan isn't exactly very smart or deceptive, so he should get decapitated pretty easily.

Hidden Mist Jutsu makes it impossible for Hidan to get a hit on Zabuza and Zabuza would have many opportunities to win through incap via water prison or decapitation. Even if Hidan manages to get Zabuza's blood, Zabuza could theoretically wash away the blood ritual with water style. Just sayin'. That said, Zabuza vs Asuma might make for an interesting video.

I have alot of thoughts on the zabuza vs asuma matchup tbh, I think they are relatively evenly matched (compared to other characters anyways), neither of them have absolutely insane jutsu, they are both CQC Fighters. Depends alot on the location. Because if there is water nearby and zabuza can get mist up asuma probably won't be able to blow all of it away, might be able to puncture visibility holes in it but not wipe it all away, and if zabuza can get the drop on asuma in a situation like that I think he would win, upper mid-difficulty. On the other side if it's a big open concrete slab of a field I think asuma can probably predict/block Enough of zabuzas massive swings to get some solid connection with his chakra blades wearing him down till he can either finish him off comfortably or force a retreat, in this situation I'd say upper mid-difficulty for asuma. I'm not trying to say that "if water is there go zabs wins," or "if no water asuma ez takes it" but I feel like it colors the matchup between who has an edge or who would win out of 10 fights.

He’s killed thousands with one silent slice i think he’s more powerful than u know and during his fight with team 7 the members of the akatsuki were probably not as strong as they were when introduced to us so it’s likely he could’ve grown to be more powerful than some of the members like kisame. Thats a variable you forgot

Kye Dysarthria I think he means more that kishimoto didn’t have naruto characters as strong as they would become later in the series. As in characters were far more grounded as such in part 1 and there were later retcons to make characters even stronger in part 2.

Huge fan of the videos, probably have watched all of them at least a dozen times. Though I’m sure you have plenty of ideas for upcoming videos, I thought of something that might be cool to do. What about doing videos about different jutsu based on what they fall under nature wise? They could be like an extension of your chakra nature videos. Each video would go over as many or as few jutsu that fall under a nature in as much detail as you would want. This could help highlight jutsu of different types that many people may not know, including Kekke Genkai jutsu

Zabuza might not be the strongest character. But he is still my most favourite character. Only with a small lead. But still. His completelly oversized weapon, his fighting style, his design and personality, they just fit sooo good. Also the hidden jutsu is one of my favourite jutsus. Zabuza is just such an interesting character, it's really a shame he had only a few appearances and always lost...

My top 3 favorite Naruto characters are Minato, Itachi, and Zabuza 💯 Zabuza may be slept on because of his short part in the series but his overall getdown left a lasting impression for true Naruto fans. I feel he was definitely Kage level, and if he were to live and hone his skills more... Potential was through the roof. I could see Zabuza bein' the Mizukage 💪🏻 RIP to The Demon in the Mist

You forgot to mention that Zabuza also clashed with a special jounin from the hidden leaf and one shotted him, it was this guy: naruto.fandom.com/wiki/Kumade_Toriichi This also speaks a lot about how strong Zabuza was. I think he was low kage level. He definitely would have clapped every other jounin from part one aside from Guy and Kakashi.
