Adam and Mike! You guys are killing it on KZbin! Almost to 25K subs. You guys put out some of the best golf instruction content on the Internet. Love your approach and how you give different thoughts. You guys know all too well that the same thoughts/ideas don't work for every player. Thanks for keeping it fresh!!

This is great content. I bet so many players have gone down a path or trying to squat like Rory and ended up extending even earlier. Does Rory consciously squat or not? Who knows? They never really give away their true feels. But for me, keeping that right hip back has helped me massively to stay in posture. Combine that with the left hip moving/tilted down and back/around and you shouldn’t early extend.

Love this, buddy shown me it. I’m a lefty, so I get to the top of my back swing, I feel like I’m dropping my right hip super back, keeping my hip depth and in turn natural helps with that squatting look. And when you do this correctly, it also helps with the weight moving to your front heel, instead of onto the toe which will lead to EE and throwing your pelvis at the ball

Thé Power house of the downswing comes from the golfer’s naval area; effectively using their oblique and stomach muscles to propel their arms, hand and golf club head through the ball right to the finish of their swing. (Loosely taken from Gary Players Golf lesson) Cheers. And it works! 😃⛳️👍🥂

Hi Adam, really enjoy watching your informative videos. Do you ever run any Q & A sessions ? There are quite a few conflicting points of view from golf coaches on KZbin and it would be fantastic to get your thoughts on them. Keep up the great work !

@@PorzakGolf I have seen a PGA coach advocate that the pressure being applied through the feet should be directed through the ankles. You advise that the pressure is more focused through the balls of the feet but ultimately the pressure (as described in this video) needs to get to the heel of the trail leg and remain there through the down swing. The outcome appears to be the same but your posture will be different depending on where your pressure is applied at set up ? The reason given for setting up with the pressure through the ankles is that it stops the quads being actively engaged and thus removing one of the potential reasons for why we early extend ! Also, they recommend that you have the same width of stance for all the clubs which will provide consistency ? Both your view and theirs make sense ! And the last one which I'd like to raise is how your load the trail leg. Your teaching method on how to create a stable base makes total sense , however, Mike Austin (who I'm sure you know of) promotes a more lateral movement and for want of a better phrase promotes a double stack and no obvious brace ? Both methods have their advocates but they appear to the non trained eye to be radically different but effective ! . I guess my questions are centred around why is there so much variance on how to swing a golf club ?? I'd love to pop over the Pond for a lesson with you but I'd have to win the lottery first 🙂 so I have to make do with your videos ... lol

Repetition and drills are key to consistency. So many golfers will play a life time without doing drills. The shots get ugly before it gets better.

Can/should we apply this swing thought of "right knee behind left" for iron shots as well?

Another great video…..right knee stays behind the left!
@cmsima Жыл бұрын
So - left hip is a fixed rotation point on the backswing. The right hip moves back. Then - the left hip moves back even with right hip- establishing where the left hip creates a new fixed pivot point to rotate forward around. Correct?

Lately ive tried yr emphasis on feeling oressure on both feet.as i tilt to the left i can feel my upper body pressure going down to the leftfoot innerside.as i move my left arm n then using left shoulder to finish the swing to the back i can feel my lowerbodytwisting back n weight increases to the right inner heel.as i feel the increase in the pressure on the right heel the momentum delivers the squatting feeling n then moving up to finished upper cut position.the ball flight was straight n higher n longer 😱😱😱is this the correct feeling to achieve?

can the knee still flex though? Seems like your leg is almost locked out, putting all the pressure and torque on your hip. Seems really bad for the hip joint. Maybe it just looks like that from DTL, would love to see face on! Thank you for all the free content btw.

I have always had speed. I would trade that for consistency in a heartbeat! These days, I cannot swing hard as I am afraid of the outcome why??? No consistency! I want to PLAY golf not PRAY golf! I am sitting here watching him swing efficiently and with speed and I just get pissed off at myself that I cannot do that even though I know I have the speed. Will be be slowing those feels down as it makes perfect sense to build the feel slow to fast. Again Adam, great content.
