@@gliboperuta9213either paid actors or people who love to only pve on dead servers. I logged into wotlkC the other day after months of not playing. There were 11 people in Orgrimmar and 26 in dalaran. 5pm server time. 90% of the wow population is not hyped for cata. I guarantee 1 month after release, it will be just as dead as it is now.

Reforging allows you to sacrifice 40% of a *secondary* stat into another *secondary* stat and only if that item doesn't already have that stat.

attack power on items seems like a way to increase how much attack power your class has without just giving you alot more agility/strength which also effects other things than just attack power directly.

yes the days when i get hit from spirit is back. now all I have to do is maybe carry around a few choice pieces and trinkets for my elemental off spec.

having learnt and gotten into the stats of classic - I disagree, mastery is never explained to the player whatit does and it changes based on class... that's not intuitive - it's not something you learn from other RPGs as well... it basically throws out what we spent 5 years learning in classic vanilla and onward in an attempt to make gearing progression more readable / balancable ...

truly it feels like they are honing the system to be what they need it to be - but it's moving away from an RPG. that warrior literally had no agility, int or spirit under 3 figures and had 3-4k str and stam.... how is making stats irrelevant to your class/spec feel like an rpg? it doesn't it feels like an action game... which means Wow is moving away from an MMORPG to an MMOAction game... which would be okay... if it was better at being an action game... but why did the rpg have to die to make a halfbaked, server tick based auto attack + gcd based combat system that's pathetic in terms of action and blasphemous in terms of RPG....

Absolutely agree. I want to level a Goblin Shamy that's gonna be my new twink coming Cata. And I wanna enjoy the leveling and farm my transmog (most drops in Naxx and Titanrune dungeons)

@@TerraOblivion27 Yeah I feel you. The leveling is quite fast and enjoyable in cata 1-60. And then you prolly wanna get your professions up at least. I wouldn’t stress over gear, even if you had ICC25 man hc gear you would have replaced 90% of them by the time you finish Hyjal or Vash

Could you do a video about prepping for rerolling Worgen/Goblin in the near-ish future? Best heirlooms for different classes, profession leveling changes (?), quest prepping (?), etc. Or will there be race change available on release? Looking to make a worgen hunter rather than my current dwarf one and would be cool to get it up to speed quick!

Dudu and priest. I remember being in this weird spot after hitting 80 in October, where there was no raid spots for a fresh disco priest, so I'd have to farm the shadow t10 set against my will to secure raid spots.

Reforging was an awesome system and I'm happy to relive the glorious days of Cataclysm soon! However the system became kind of "dead/numb" with the ReforgeLite addon that would calculate your reforging options optimally for you and the process of reforgning simply became a single button. I understand why Blizzard removed the system because then getting an upgrade or two it would become a process of enchanting, gemming and reforging almost all of your items if you wanted to be "optimal". Sometimes you had to re-enchant and gem all your gear because by doing so you'd hit specific optimal stat rating thresholds after reforging. It did however keep the professons alive because the demand for enchants and gems were high during the entire expansion, because people would be regemming and enchanting all the time. And not just enchanting or gemming an item once when they got it. I remember one time in Firelands when I got like 2 upgrades in the run and I had to re-gem and enchant almost all my hit to haste (or whatever it was) because my new upgrades even after reforgning would make me go past the hit cap. Then next week I got some more upgrades without hit rating which replaced my existing items with hit rating and after reforgning I was still under the hit cap by a fair amount, so I had to buy new hit gems and replace the new haste gems I had bought the week before. I played hunter at the time so I only had to care about hit rating, but I know that melees especially had a hard time balancing their stats because they had to keep track of expertise and hit. In the early days of Cata it wasn't always possible (depending on what gear you had of course) to be both hit and expertise capped. This became less of an issue with raid gear that had higher stats which allowed more crit/mastery/haste to be reforged into hit/expertise. There was also more raid items with pure hit and expertise. But at early T11 progress caster stats optimisation were a lot more forgiving because it was possible to reforge into all the hit rating you needed from your existing stats on your gear, hence making casters and hunters stronger than melee for a time.

pretty sure block rating goes away, well rolled into mastery. but it don't have it's own stat anymore. only def. stats there are is dodge, parry, mastery. yes there is still block rating on pre-cata gear, but this will get replaced really quickly (yes even heroic 25man icc gear will get replaced in vary first zones and dungeons), as mastery is like everything in cata.

Interesting about the changes to Haste. I imagine this would make Haste virtually useless to a class like Warlocks then, which previously stacked a lot of Haste in WotLK?

haste would still reduce the cast time of your spells. so it is absolutly not useless.

Haste affects dots. With cata at certain thresholds of haste you will get extra ticks for each cast of a dot as well.

Im a long time supporter, viewer, follower (you name it) and from numerous chats with scotte he indeed is more on the cata train then sod BUT im sure he will do sod content for you sod frogs aswell. I didnt unfollow him when there was no wotlk/cata content, im sure u can keep the sub going and check occasionally for sod info if there is relevant updates. Also, give cata a go, sod is seasonal!

Apparently Cataclysm classic is going to kill wow. I that case I’m going to be playing the shit out of a dead game. Before the beta, I was looking forward to cata classic. And now a couple of week into the beta, I can’t wait for it to come out. This for me, is when wow got good. You see I love leveling and my boys and I love a challenging dungeon. So I f this is the death of wow I’m all for it ✌️ Ohh and thanks for all your Cataclysm videos, well all your videos really. 😁❤️ keep up the excellent work

You got block and dodge mixed up. Block is no longer on gear and is effectively replaced by mastery for prot warriors and paladins. Dodge is still on gear.

I hope cata isn't where your items give stats dependant on your active spec... that just sucks. agility gives you dodge chance and crit for all classes... but not if it's greyed out for arbitrary reasons...

having attack powe on the items aswell isnt pointless at all. those stats also give armor or other things like crit/dodge. melee dps could get way too tanky by just pumping up the main stats for damage. additional attack power allows those numbers to be much more reasonable without falling behind ranges in damage

Imagine needing or wanting to use Restedxp to level up in the (New worlds) which has been the retail quests since actual OG Cataclysm and even if you didn't know the questing zones why would you want an add-on to hold your hand and play the game for you literally? I hate this speedrun, Min/max optimized mentality, but it is what it is people can play the way they want.

@@thenikkidixx I honestly am the very very opposite of a casual. Im 24 and studying so I have way more time then people with jobs and Families. I have been spamming Arenas and Rbgs been mglad and hota since bfa (yea scuffef 2.4+ glad but still every season) And I was super super stoked about wrath. Turns out the amount of raiding required to be able to Properly arena in wrath is too ridicilosu for the average joe (which Im not since I actually raided 2x a week since ulduar so 2 of my characters are FULLY bis.) Problem is thst pvp and especially arenas is DEAD because the barrior to Entry is absurdly high. Why is that so? Because every 1.8 casual is running around with full pve items and shadowmourne. Because the community is FORCING you to min max. Why do you think none of the retail arenas Players (example whaaz, raiku, cdew, pika) arent playing any wrath pvp? Cuz the community that is so min max oriented forces you to go either fully bis into arenas or be Highly disadvantaged. If you want to have a civilized discussion be my guest, if not then move on and troll someone else xD

You know what immediately turned me away from Nixiom or whatever his name is? He likes to say that no one is excited for Cata, no one wants it. He made a video shortly after Cata was announced and claimed that the crowd was silent, indifferent and didn't react at all. He supported that by showing a clip that we were supposed to infer was the moment they announced Cata at Blizzcon, and the crowd was indeed pretty silent. But that wasn't the moment of announcement. The crowd erupted when Cata was actually announced. But he knows that and is just bullshitting and lying to support whatever garbage he wants to say. THAT, to me, is a reason to get upset with a KZbinr. Not just cuz they have rested xp in their video description haha

The fact that you can’t see the problems with this shows you don’t know what makes CLASSIC wow such a better starting point for unique gear puzzle to solve and create class fantasy. The more stats/itemization you remove the more you have to find ways to fill those gaps. Blizzard filled the gaps with spells, more spells, spells after that and finally SPELLS to spam. Making the game more HOMOGENIZED and way more difficult to balance and more difficult to play. It also makes grear less of a carrot on a stick and more of a CHORE to get the next “Item level” ooooooooo. Who cares.
