Chase is an actress, singer, and activist. In this emotional talk, she shares her personal heart wrenching experience with online harassment and how it completely reframed her world. Known best for her role on Star Trek, she currently serves as the founder and CEO of Pop Culture Hero Coalition, working to end bullying, racism, misogyny, LGBTQI+bullying, cyberbullying, and other forms of injustice. The Coalition's work centers around innovative ways to teach empathy, toward creating systemic change - and it's definitely time to do that! Chase is an actress, singer, and activist. In the immortal words of Ryan George: Producer guy: In what sense? Screewriter guy: In the sense that if he dies he'll be able to communicate with luke telepathically sometimes Producer guy: It sounds like he's gonna turn into a very specific type of mental walkie talkie, I don't know if that's more powerful that you can possibly imagine Screenwriter guy: Well maybe Darth Vader doesn't have a very good imagination, we don't know Producer guy: That's a good point

Chase, I once told you at a convention that I loved your performance as Leeta on DS9, that you gave her personality, depth, and intelligence. I also said that I loved the fact that Rom loved Leeta because she was smart...and that he valued intelligence in a woman and loved Leeta for herself, not because she was beautiful. I loved this video, Chase, and I wish you much success in life and with your coalition. We all love you, Chase.

"Hurt people hurt people. Healed people heal people." I love this! I am SO stealing this! I mean "liberating" this. I'm so sorry you had to go through all this, but like a sword, you became tempered in this fire. Good for you. Much love from a fan.

We have to dismiss the attitude that since is in your head it's easily to turn it 180°, Sometimes it is, sometimes it is not. It's akin to telling someone to stop complaining and do that flight of stairs evey day without knowing if he's ok but just lazy, has a hearth condition or it's on a wheelchair.

Your story is shocking. I can’t believe you lost your case and got sued on top of the harassment you went through. You have immense strength to get through the other side. Much respect. I’m going through a situation that’s quite difficult, I have been harassed for months now and there’s no end in sight. Everywhere I turn for help I’m turned away and it’s really wearing on me. I have no support. I hope I see the end of it soon. I love that quote! This will serve me well. Thanks for sharing your story.

She was never a 'pretty face'. It was the body. You know, the thing she's neglected and overfed these past years? Want an inspiration? Look to Nana Visitor or Terry Farrell, and how to stay healthy and stop blaming weight gain and depression on your own lack of self control.

One of my all-time favorite TED talks. THANKS 🙏🏻 perfect timing. Completely synchronistic... 2 days ago, I was driving back from where one of the worst things ever happened to me and I lost faith that there was any hope that I could do what I was sent here to do. I was thinking “if you strike me down... quote -not even directly related to what happened there. It just kept popping up in my mind on the way back about other things I was thinking about. Now I understand what it really meant. Thank you.
