An expert in conscious leadership, Maria Haggo helps us understand the difference between conscious and unconscious leaders, and their respective impacts. In her own words, "a thriving individual leads to thriving teams, thriving communities, and a thriving world". Her talk encourages us to examine and transform our own leadership patterns and emphasises that compassion and love are the keys to an effective and powerful leader. Maria Haggo, the founder and CEO of Transform8, is a conscious leader who believes in the need for a profound positive transformation in global work cultures. In her own words, "a thriving individual leads to thriving teams, thriving communities, and a thriving world". An MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience from King’s College London combined with Maria's heartfelt and holistic approach makes her work impactful and truly unique. Her work involves supporting teams and leaders in self-development, gender diversity and well-being, and in her speech titled " How To Be the Leader You Want to Work For - it’s easier than you think”, she will show us what it means to lead from the heart for a brighter future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Well said, Maria. Leaders who connect consciously go beyond just being in charge to make everyone feel important and listened to. This leads to more trust, promotes teamwork, and encourages new ideas. This way of leading helps everyone do better and makes the organization more successful.

Spot on. Conscious leadership is what separates good leaders from mere managers. This topic needs to be highlighted and brought to forefront of leadership development curriculums. 👏

Brilliantly articulated and explained. For me “conscious leadership” is the key: that moment that sparks self-awareness and a heightened sense of ownership and responsibility. The beauty is that this (leadership) is not confined to managers or bosses… it rests with everyone

All this talks are all nice, but the problem is much higher or further into the organization, or outside the organization that does not allow a more "human" treatment. Reality is, business are not there to make human life more pleasant...they are there to make MONEY, and more often than not, a more detrimental impact to society's wellbeing, most of them...why combustion cars instead of water fueled cars?...reasons are deeper and darker...removing those that create these darker environment is the key to a more successful and healthier society in many aspects...remember this, YOU DON'T REMOVE THE POISON FROM THE SNAKE'S TAIL, YOU REMOVE IT FROM IT'S HEAD...

Thank you Naruto. You are right that business goals are driven by financial performance. The good news is that human well-being is directly linked to performance so the motivation is aligned. Therefore a bi-product of happiness and lives well lived is directly linked to employee performance and organisations bottom line results.

Thanks for your feedback. The key "how to" suggestions are around building self-awareness, managing our energy levels (both internally and externally) and enhancing our generosity of spirit. If you would like some further steps please contact us and we will send you some more info on steps to take. All the best, Transform8
