Loved that you mention how this mentality will not stop you from scoring lower scores. I hit 90 for the first time yesterday (68.3/124) not taking out anything out other bigger than my 4 iron. 6x Pars, 6x Bogeys, 6x +2's. Few duffed chips, few ugly 3 putts and it coulda been 85. Guess my goal is to keep breaking 90 well I learn to hit my drivers/woods/hybrids

The mental block is so real. Spent a good 6 months on the brink of breaking 90 trying to play "normally" Finally followed your advice and went down the way of the playa (confidentiality off the tee, play aggressive to conservative targets, no 2 chips) and ended up shooting an 88. Now only a few months later that monkey is off my back and I've got so much more confidentiality that I am breaking 90 with somewhat regularity, back playing "normally" with more driver in play off the tee. I have been watching all your break 100 and 90 videos. Watched all of them multiple times. I had my first lesson 2 weeks ago. I'm using a hybrid a 7 iron pw and sw. So just 5 clubs with my putter. Wanna know a crazy way to look at it? Playing a 6000 yard course, If you putt 40 times, you only need to average 100 yards for 60 shots to break 100. 50 shots at 111 to break 90.

As a 24 handicapper on a 137 slope rating course, playing since sept 2023, I broke 100, scoring a 93, next day a 95 with 6 clubs: 18 degree hybrid off the tee, 26 degree hybrid for 2nd shots and bump and runs, 8 iron for utility, pw and sw for short game and the putter. Course management boys, course management!

I remember it took me a long time to break 90. A friend put into prospective by telling me all I had to do is 1 under bogey golf. After breaking 90, I starting shooting in 80's on regular basis but only broke 80 once with 78, by getting up and down pars on last 3 holes.

I think the bunker treble hole is the first time for years Ive seen you not execute at all the plan you had either right or even left-handed. Attitude so key. The last round I posted on my channel was after a bad day at work the prior day and I was uncharacteristically negative (I normally laugh everything off). Shot 100 but with a better attitude I know I could have been in the 90s. Rushed several shots after a duff because my mind was not right. Plus I didn't enjoy a beautiful day out when I should have. The way you don't get flustered is an example to follow.

I don't understand how some bot can try to make the argument that "Oh you cant do this on such and such length course." Tour length Par 5s are like 600 yards. Most people can get a mid iron to go 150, so 4 7 irons onto the green, 3 putt, and youre out of there with a double. Breaking 100 only requires you to play 8 strokes better than double bogey golf on a Par 72 course. Furthermore, if you're not already breaking 100 what the hell are you doing on the 7k yard tees in the first place?

Another great video, BAUS! What do you think about single-length irons/hybrids? In theory, if you can hit your 7 iron confidentially, then you can hit all your other irons the same, since it's the same swing. I know there are some gapping issues with 4i and 5i, but you can bring in hybrids/fairway woods for longer stuff as you get better.
