Another well built project. So glad they make "Blue coat screws" for outdoor projects such as this. The details you added to the legs, and the slats really give it flare. Really shows art back ground. Thank you Mr. Jon

It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan’s kzbin.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.

Such a lovely planter. I really enjoy the small details you add to your projects that really 'set it off'. The chamfer and coves are beautiful. I think I'll make one for mom as a springtime gift. She loves to garden, but can't kneel down like she used to. This is a great looking and practical solution.

Yoooooo Jon!!! They look like a pretty straight forward build but, Man at a closer look you have quite a few details that really make you pay attention to assembly process. And... they look like a perfect size for 2 Jersey tomatoes plants!!! Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!

Nice job Jon. I always say this but you make it look so easy. I did follow one of your picture frame builds and came out very successful. This seems like something I could try with my skill level and tools...🤘🤘🤘

Aha~! Jon Peters is human after all~! LOL Very nice planter box~! I wish that I had access here in GA to the wood sources that you do up north. The wood you're using (Sapele or Red Grandis?) is beautiful.

Thanks Andrew… Sapele I forgot to mention that.

6:14 looks good and should help the end grain shed water. 9:42 bless you for including this moment. And in general: - I dunno Jon … those pocket screws are only gonna hold for 25-30 years. - Choose a strong plastic liner with a more rigid lip and you can skip the bottom planks and just hang the liner from cleats near the top.

Really beautiful work, Jon! 😃 Those could be great even to plant vegetables! (Sorry, I guess I'm hungry again. 😬) Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Thanks Jon, I Love the Design and I plan on making one, this will be a skill builder for me as I am not that experienced yet with a lot of the skill you showed. One question for now, I am sure I will have more once I get started, with me luck :), I have not worked with pocket holes yet, this will be my first project with them, It looks like you are not using a kreg Jig, what one are you using? Thanks Jon, for all that you do for the woodworking community :)

I guess I would set the cap moulding in place, drill the pilot and countersink at the same time, then screw it down. Pre-drilling the countersink on the drill press first, then drilling a pilot hole seems like an extra step.

The look would be improved if the cap moulding screws were set deeper and plugged. Otherwise, spot on.

I try to avoid any screws on top, always seems to rot first. I'd try to pocket screw it from below
@infinityvideoprod Жыл бұрын
Totally agree. All screws are hidden, except where they could be most visible? Better still, just glue them on with Titebond 3 or similar.

Hi Jon! Are these made out of sapele?
@gregmize01 Жыл бұрын
This planter is made with Sepele wood and I used pocket hole joinery to make the project more accessible to more wood workers. If you own a domino and want to build it that way the plans and cut list will work the same. I hope you enjoyed this project video and it inspires you to spend more time in the shop. Be good, Jon

@@JonPetersArtHome Thanks Jon!! Beautiful!! I’ve seen a handful of KZbinrs making outdoor furniture out of sapele, and I’m thinking about making a new table from it. Seems like a good route?
