Any clay pot which is natural, and which has been made by an experienced potter without any glaze is the best utensil for cooking, and it has been in existence for 7000 years all over the world. Unfortunately, in Roman times, 3000 years ago, they decided to put a glaze made of lead, to give their pottery a shine. And they died of lead poisoning. So if in your city, you find any potter who is making these clay pots, traditionally, encourage his skill, throw away your very poisonous Teflon coated plastic modern utensils - best way to encourage cancer - and go back to traditional ancient cooking. They lived for more than hundred years, eating foods in the clay pots, which have also been found in Indus Valley civilization excavations. And today the average age of a person is less than 70 years, because he is poisoning himself with 21st-century Brainstorms. Thank you chechi.

This is really nice to see in a modern days you are using the mud utensils for cooking inspiring people to make use of the good things. It's not only about the soil minerals dissolving on the food but also mud utensils do not destroy the micro nutrients of the food that we are cooking on it. So the taste of the food also far far better than those food cooked on other metal utensils. I am from west bengal and use mud utensil for cooking but these are not as good products as you have in your kitchen. actually it is not available nowadays... and on online shopping it is very costly more than 1500 per piece...!!!

You are right @Sanjeev bro. People have made it a business considering the need. Even I have thought to hire someone to make handmade pots and do the branding etc. 😁But these things should be easily accessible and within reach for all kinds of people. 👍

Couple of thoughts, Nisa ji. One of the viewers below has mentioned how expensive it is to buy online - both time and money. The gentleman from who you bought, if he can be trained to bubble pack well and despatch, we could order from him. Some pots he has are rather very good. Two, when you make rice in the clay pot, I would like to see a video that shows how you drain the water. Your hand movements will be useful. We can learn more by watching your hand movements. Thank you for this video. I use a few clay pots for biryani and dal. Now both cook within the pot and don;t need draining. But your idea of cooking rice in this has caught my fancy and I would like to see you drain the water. Grateful if you can. Also if that gent can be contacted, I would like to buy from him and encourage his business.

+Bilvapatra Eka sorry for the late reply. I will try to get the ph no of the gentleman and update in the description box so that you guys can talk to him directly. Any extra income for him would be great, I personally do not know the person, but he is selling some 2 kms away from my house... if he is still there, I can get his no. I will def include how i cook rice in clay pots and yes, the draining part too. Thanks for being here with your suggestions. Much Love!

Hello madam, first I would like to give you a ton of thanks for making my food journey full of fun and excitement....my family is also happy and loving my new love that is "cooking". One month back I purchased few earthen pots for curd making. But I am struggling how to clean it after I use it. It's fat content sticks on the pot. I have searched on the internet too but there is no such information. I wish my msg will get your attention. I am eagerly waiting for your new vedio on this topic.
@djs94155 жыл бұрын
Bhawna ji,, I can understand how you feel, so much of tasty food, and milk boiled in clay pots, and also curds, but you do not know how to clean them! Do it the traditional way. Put water in it. Then take ordinary namak - sendha vrat waala namak. Take a nariyal ka reshewaala chilka and do the scrubbing, instead of using a plastic scrubber. For millenniums, people have been cleaning their utensils with ash/ raakh , but as we do not have wood fires now, use salt. Never ever use any dishwashing chemicals on your clay pots.yeh vim bar rin bar dhakosle to kill us off with stomach ailments, and poison us should be banned, at least in India. But then, multibillion dollar chemical home use brands, how will they survive? I also saw a woman take some ordinary sand, and clean her clay pot, in Rajasthan, doing what her ancestors have been doing for the past 2000 years. And we have forgotten our traditions in the hope of becoming modern like the rest of the West. They are dying like flies. If you want to continue that way, do buy their chemical products, their Teflon coating utensils, and destroy the health of your family. This cookware kept us healthy for millenniums. Clay pot cooking. All over the world, including the Indian subcontinent. That is why our ancestors lived long lives. Today, the average life of a modern-day citizen is 50 years, not more. Well, if we keep poisoning ourselves, it will soon be 30 years. Just like the ancient Romans. With cooking in glazed/painted utensils, which they had actually bought for planting their plants!

Sir, Black clay pot is initially Brown Clay pot only but it was roasted for longer period in FIRE (Bhatti) - almost 5-6 days during making process. Thua, after burning , that clay looks black in color. So it's stronger than brown ones. Else nutrition value is same for both. Happy Cooking
