Thank you so much! Our DC04 stopped working, but the motor seemed fine. I came across this video and thanks to your advice our dyson is working again! We think we’ve had it nearly 20 years and have never once cleaned the roller - ours looked a lot worse than yours! Will definitely be cleaning it more regularly now. Thank you again! 👏👏👏

I’ve had this problem before with a few of my vacuums before. I’ve cleaned hair, strings, carpet, etc. I always remember to never use a knife to cut this hair off in case I cut myself. I always use scissors ✂️ to remove hair carefully without cut the belt and bristles on the brush roll.

How do you remove the brush roll bearings? I want to save the brush roll that came with my DC 33 because it has nice long bristles on it. Recently, I found my DC 33 right next to a DC 07 by a dumpster. I’m trying to make one good one out of two bad ones.

Back in 2008 when my family were staying at my mother s sister It was Christmas Day in 2010 My aunt had a Kirby vacuum And the brush roll full of hair my mom went to get my dad a Box cutter and , scissors to take hair off the brush roller My mom told my aunt that she had her Kirby vacuum Belt broke My mom gave my aunt a spare belt My dad got hair off brush roll and It was bit of hair and string of a necklace My mom picked up the hair and dispose in garbage can I had to run the Kirby started to vacuum my cousin s room I checked no hair off the brush roll

I've done this before I used medal , scissors on my Kirby I did that with my aunt's Kirby because her Kirby vacuum brushroll was full of hair, was full of hair it was like they were actually different kinds of hairs my cousins and my older cousins long hair cuz my aunt owns two vacuums one she owns the Kirby and then she owns in orick I use a pair of scissors to cut the hair by pieces I use a little bit of the scissors to cut the hair each time when I detangle to Kirby's brush roll one I never use the knife the incident with my answers she use the same thing to cut the brush roll on her Kirby vacuum she have a scar on her arm with a knife and you are right never poke your finger on the brush while they are very sharp you could injure yourself
