In this video i clean some of my old Australian sterling silver coins . Everything pre 1946 was 92.5 Sterling silver , everything after that was 50% silver and when we went to Decimal currency it was simply fake junk . This is how i clean my coins because i like shiny silver and i only have them for their Silver content , not for their Numismatic value as a coin collector .This process uses an Electrolytic process rather than a chemical polish which does not damage the underlying Silver metal . Yep , That's the go Greg , and remember for any real stubborn stains rub the Bicarb slurry over them with your thumb on top and index finger under the bottom and i Guarantee they will come up sparkling clean . 👍 Cheers Ned ✌

@@GrooberNedJardine if I have value able coins I give em to my sister. She collects I don’t. Same with my gold. I split that between my 2 sisters. I don’t need it. I just like getting it. The hunt, the machines, the act of washing. That’s the part I like. Once it’s cleaned, I got little use for it. My sisters’ own my farm n let me live here just for the cost of caretaking it. I don’t have rent, taxes, phone bill, electric bill. None of that. So I feel any gold I find here should b theirs. Plus with the laws here in New York (kings law). It’s just simpler.🍻🗽🤴🏻

That's great you inherited an old coin collection Andy , just remember though if you have any valuable dated coins best not to clean them , keep them with the Patina on them for Numismatic collectors like them as is . I like my Silver coins clean and shiny . 👀👍👍 purely i keep them just for their Silver contents . Cheers Matey . ✌
