Councils never do inspections lol my dad got a council house years ago the carpet was soaked with cat piss and the garden was trashed with old peoples nappies and rubbish it took him and my uncle 3 days just to clear the garden

Inspector is not a sole job anymore, it's usually a part of another full time job. They're supposed to inspect all around the world once a year. Of course it's rarely enforced

@@FC-hj9ub i used to work for a county as a public health nurse, people who lives in subsidized houses mostly have health related problems and i visit them at least 2x a month. If i see the home is not up to living condition, i call APS, CPS or Animal Control and the Police right away.

In my country Belgium you have different sizes in containers ( small, medium, large ) as the prices are different too it goes from 250€ to 850€ + the hours of work which is a fixed price ( salarial/hour ) Even if you're intelligent enough you take people that work in black ( illegaly ) which is the better solution for such works and they ask half the price .

You don't need to be a germaphobe to know that with pest you only need one egg. For instance you should never step on a cockroach because while dying it will lay an egg on your shoe. While walking home this egg will attach to your floor and hatch. Then it will multiply quickly to the point of living in your electronic furniture (and broking it). So unlike what you might think, I'm more scared of cockroaches and bedbugs than a disease I have +99% chance of surviving to. So next time, chill out before making assumptions.

I doubt they are required to trash everything, but the manpower to sort on site would be intensive and take more time than the owner wants to pay for. I bet things get sorted later when they empty the truck, otherwise a dump bed would be well worth the money. A lot of that junk can be recycled, composted or pawned for cash to offset the labor after the job. If it was my job, I'd probably show up with a couple vans and a dumper and do a quick sort of definite junk, recyclables and stuff worth of possible value.

When private companies do this job they sometimes auction off furniture and items but when it is the local authority that do it they tend to destroy everything because as Emilija said they would be culpable if anyone contracted an illness such as hantavirus.

It's anybodies who wants it, most refuse centres in the UK sort waste into sections such as white goods, electronics, furniture etc and people can drive in and help themselves. Anything left goes in the incinerator. At least that's how it is with the ones in Dundee, I've often dropped something off and came home with something else.

This is obviously nothing to do with 'hoarding', but was the remains a 1990s/early 2000s Asian business. They emphasised the 'Bollywood' angle to ward off questions as to what was on the tapes, but I'm sure there would have been stuff of interest to the Police as well- if they'd looked hard enough.
