I probably should've mentioned this clearer - this is not only for just testing between Crit Rate/Crit DMG. That example was for the demonstration to make it clearer. You can compare any two builds you have with this method, no matter if it's different 4C, 3C or 1C echoes. You just use your final dmg and crit values, same as I demostrated.

If you have Crit Rate weapon then use Crit damage 4 cost Echo and if you have Crit damage weapon then use a Crit rate 4 cost Echo.
@SidneymarZAАй бұрын
It’s good as a general rule of thumb, but when weapons start provide crit rate in their passive like Somnoire Anchor does, the dynamic changes according to your stats. This 4-step plan also works for your 3C echoes, still using your crit dmg and rate values.

I've got her sig weapon and I've been failing to crit with her with 67% CR & 280 CD, changed my 4-cost echo to crit rate, now its 80% CR & 256 CD, so much better for consistency
@Zer0PerplexityАй бұрын
@taariqmoosa8200 80% Crit Rate and 256% Crit DMG is extremely close to the ideal Crit Ratio (1:2), so it is the better way to go for that Crit Value.

Why is Camellya considered a DoT attacker when she has a nuke that rivals even Jinhsi, but Xiangli Yao is considered a nuke when he deals basic attacks during his Ult for more DMG/rotation?
@SidneymarZAАй бұрын
Camellya requires her DoT attacks (crimson pistol consumption) to nuke (ephemeral), Xiangli Yao’s nuke (1400% casting multiplier) is triggered without the need for onfield attacks. Meaning you can cast it the first moment he takes the field.

Any substats different from both Echoes. Just multiply them. 90%cr 250%cd and 68%cr and 294%cd 90% x 250% = 2.25 ✅ 68% x 294% = 1.9992 ❌ If the echo got more useful stats for the character just multiple tgt (excl. ER). But for bonus% rmb to add 100% into it first. For atk% or atk you just need to multiply the total atk of 2 builds 90%cr 250%cd and 68%cr 294%cd 8.6%bonus 90% x 250% = 2.25 ✅ 68% x 294% x 108.6% = 2.17 ❌
@kiraishagamingАй бұрын
If you want to know how much % damage increases, just take the bigger one / smaller one - 1. 2.25 / 2.17 - 1 = 0.036 = 3.6%
@kiraishagamingАй бұрын
Actually you can just take the total stats from the main character page to multiply, in case you have more than one echo changed

Not gonna lie, this video is really missing the mark on what you would really end up needing to do. What all these calculations boil down to is simply to build a crit ratio of 1:2. A ratio where you have "1× crit rate to 2 × (critdmg - 100%)" This crit ratio always results in maximum damage. There really isn't a need to calculate average damages to these extremes, as they are just Extras to the general ratio... And for looking which crit 4-cost you want, you can just check your crit ratio before the 4-cost. If your crit rate is lacking for the ratio (eg. 50% crit rate and 250% critdmg, you have a ratio of 50 : 150, where crit rate is too low), you get a crit rate echo...
@SidneymarZAАй бұрын
That’s only general optimisation. This method also indicates which of your 3C combination is better, and can be used if you want to compare 1C echoes as well. Crit Rate/Crit DMG echoes was the only example I demonstrated (Changli‘s example shows 3C echoes, I only mention it, not demonstrate). The video would be much longer if I had to demonstrate the same method with each echo cost.
@Real-QuarlieАй бұрын
@@SidneymarZAIn cases like these, unless you do want to include other stats like atk or dmg bonus, which is not really easily test-able due to having many other variations already anyway (fortes, weapon, team, etc.), you can basically just look which is closer to the 1:2 ratio by a factor or calculate "critrate × critdmg + (100% - critrate)" and then compare that. I heavily doubt many more casual players will really do much more than that, when it comes to constantly comparing between 2 echoes, which this video seems to be aiming for. The method shown in the video requires to test the raw damage for both echoes being tested again, and maths that can't be neatly written down in a singular formula for most. When it comes to guides like these, I do think making them moreso really accessable to use is the important part, and having a simple guideline such as "just check for a 1:2 ratio" is gonna be much easier to track for most players, than always checking how much damage you deal, and calculate that "rather" extensively.
@SidneymarZAАй бұрын
@@Real-Quarlie you don't need to worry about your other stats with this method, no matter what you compare (4C, 3C, 1C). Only the Crit. Because your final dmg already accounts for the complex amount of variables. The 1:2 crit ratio is for a broad choice and you don't look at your dmg, this method is for both broad and narrow differences, because it gives you a precise answer.
@Zer0PerplexityАй бұрын
@@Real-Quarliethere's an even simpler formula of: 1 + Crit Rate * (Crit DMG - 1) That I reckon is possible to do in your head.
@nicolas._.2294Ай бұрын
@Zer0Perplexity huh...does this actually work?????? I did the math but I don't think this works well, or I did something wrong, or you just joking
@cyke-zp8dwАй бұрын
overcomplicating this too much, if all you wanna do is compare whether to use cc or cd multiply cc and cd, and add (100-cc) ( cc x cd ) + ( 100 - cc ) and you'll get the average crit multi in %% simple and quick
@SidneymarZAАй бұрын
the method i explained is for more than just Crit Rate vs Crit DMG. it's for any build comparison. even crit rate vs crit rate, elemental dmg bonus vs atk% and elemental dmg bonus. The method eliminates all the variables because you are working with final damage output.
@Zer0PerplexityАй бұрын
There's a simpler formula: 1 + Crit Rate * (Crit DMG - 1). I reckon you can do that in your head. As far as the 3-Costs go, if you're able to get around 50% or more DMG Bonus of your preferred type from either your weapon, inherent skills or Resonance Chains then you can seek out x1 Ele & x1 ATK. Otherwise, you generally want x2 Ele 3-Costs. If you have the spare echoes to test it anyway you could see from that alone.
@crownedking_cj8890Ай бұрын
Tbh when it comes to crit rate specifically unless u have 100% crit rate it’s hard to factor in when it comes to damage, cause u can have 99% crit rate and miss every crit when it matters
