No worries about not having the bamboo basket, that’s just a fancy way of keeping the water droplets out. You can cover your bowl with a baking paper. You just need to have something to prop up the bowl so that it’s above the water when being steamed. Happy cooking!

@@spicenpans hahah yes, that's difficult, I only find the black bean paste with garlic from Lee Kum Kee. But I think, it's ok too. Because you started with fresh gallic and therfore I think, I could reduce this amount of fresh garlic a little and get the same result with this paste. :) tc =)

Is it ok to use aluminum foil to cover the pyrex where il put the fish in? Normally i dont use any cover on the food itself when steaming. Now i know its better to have something to shield from the droplets😀
