These technique videos are really useful. It also makes it easier to find a specific technique at a later date rather than trying to remember which recipe used it.

another great tutorial susanna, never knew you could do a zero pressure , whata good tip this is, the veg kept their colour and looked tender enough, i didnt like doing my veg in the pressure as they discoloured ,but this seems an ideal way to do it thankyou for giving us the chance to learn from you

It defo keeps the colour and I'm not keen on firm veg I like it tender. This for me is perfect. Thanks for watching again

Thank you Susannah, I really must try to cook vegetables in the cooker. I'm going to try a PC, lamb shank this week, will attempt carrots, pots broccoli then. 🤞 I'm sure I have said before but you have been such a help. Thank you, John and Jenny.

Just discovered your channel and I’m so happy I have 😍. I have the ninja 15 in 1 but whilst I have cooked things in it, I’m not using to full potential but you have inspired me. I’ve wanted to do veggies in it then got overwhelmed by it all and just carried on doing on the hob ( I do have an induction hob do quite quick but still want to use ninja as much as possible 😀) . The only downside I have is that I always have a battle putting the sealing ring back in place after cleaning 😩is that just me or does anyone else find this? Thanks for all your inspo😍

I know what you mean about putting the seal back!! Thanks for watching and hopefully y you can now use it more from now on. I think we all purchase one in the hope to use it most of the time but it is a massive learning curve. I don't think I'll ever stop discovering new ways of using it!

Now this is really a good ‘trick’, but I’m not sure I understand what’s happening? Does the process of selecting 0-minutes mean that getting the Ninja up to pressure is enough effective time to cook the food, if so that’s brilliant, we would never have thought of doing that- well done and thanks for sharing.
@susannahskitchen
@susannahskitchen 7 ай бұрын
Yes you are exactly right. It’s cooking during the pressure build up so no need for any extra time with green vegetables.

Hi, just out of curiosity, how long did it take from beginning to end - I always use boiling water when pressure cooking, but wondered what the length of time to get up to pressure & release was?
@susannahskitchen
@susannahskitchen 7 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but I didn't time it, minutes though. Using boiling water always helps speed things up.

Hi Susanna Just cooked some vegetables using pressure set to zero and quick release. It worked well. But am I right in thinking that I could have vented prior to the quick release activation so vegetables were more Al dente. Still experimenting and learning thanks to your channel.

Hi, I found my broccoli to be just right after the quick release - still al dente. I suppose it also depends on the size of the florets. So were yours really soft? did you add boiling water to the bottom?
@user-kt8zd1tu4h
@user-kt8zd1tu4h 6 ай бұрын
Thanks for replying especially on the weekend Yes did add boiling water. No broccoli and beans were good but personal preference prefer a bit firmer. Will try leaving a bit larger next time. Mashed potatoes done as suggested in pressure mode were perfect. Many thanks

Добрый день! Спасибо, за канал, очень интересно! Подскажите, пожалуйста, вы поставили на 0, и выбрали режим Quick release, что это за режим? Я только в начале пути, не очень могу разобраться.
@susannahskitchen
@susannahskitchen 3 ай бұрын
Hi, a quick release is removing the pressure immediately after the cooking time. in this case its 0 minutes so the cooking is happening in the build up of pressure in the pot and then releasing straight away. Some Foodi models don't have the different releases so you can just switch to vent and the same thing will happen as a quick release. I hope that helps

@@kaprizoff If you are on the middle mode this is your steam functions. You can steam air fry a whole chicken or chips, you can make full steam meals with salmon, rice and vegetables. Can you cook multiple veg at the same time?
@susannahskitchen
@susannahskitchen 7 ай бұрын
Hi. Yes most definitely you just need to consider the size of the pieces. So if you want to cook carrots with broccoli then the pieces would need to be thin to allow them to cook at the same rate. Cauliflower, green beans etc would be fine in with the broccoli.
