My mother called me to understand what Pooja mam is talking about and i had to sit with her and interpret the whole podcast because my mother's don't understand that much English. It was a very informative video. My request is please upload the same kind of videos in hindi as well so our indian housewives could understand these information conveniently.

"housewives"?? There are housewives who understand English. Don't categorize non-English-speaking people as "housewives". That's so misogynistic.

00:06 Understanding the Five Fingers of nutrition for a healthy plate. 03:19 Using food as a medicine to heal hair and skin issues is important. 09:51 Food is the only way to provide voluntary nourishment to our miraculous body. 12:33 Fat is essential for brain growth, joint health, and protection. 19:40 Excessive sugar consumption is the root cause of various diseases 21:43 Genetically modified gluten in food industry leads to gluten sensitivity 25:53 Indian diet is a better option in terms of protein quality, amino acid content, pricing, filling value, and availability 29:24 Bio-individuality and listening to your body are key to determining what to eat. 34:10 Ingredients on labels are listed in ascending order 36:38 Sugar is the main cause of various health problems. 41:22 Fastest mitosis in cells occurs in your tongue on your taste buds. 43:41 Gut health is important due to our eating habits and triggers that lead to inflammation. 48:36 Dressing carbs with fiber and protein slows down sugar spikes 50:42 Make any meal a healthy meal by adding roughage and protein 54:38 Importance of an active lifestyle 57:41 Protein intake from natural sources is better utilized by the body than protein powders 1:02:18 Food can be used to aid nutrition and increase metabolic rate. 1:04:37 Healthy eating requires discipline and effort to achieve desired results 1:08:27 To quit smoking, you need to go cold turkey and stop what's bad for you. 1:10:13 Teach children to eat healthy through examples, analogies, and cause-effect videos 1:14:06 Postpartum hair fall is normal due to hormone changes, but good nutrition can help hair growth. 1:16:07 Food and lifestyle greatly impact PCOS and other health issues.

I am 40 and a marathon runner. I changed my diet to be a vegan 2 years ago after I visited a farm and witnessed the horror of the dairy industry. The cow is inseminated painfully every 6 months so that calf is born. The calves are taken away immediately without a single drop of milk. The male calves are transported to the slaughterhouse to be killed on the very day. This process continues for some years till the cow is completely exhausted and later sold for meat. That’s the milk we consume. I literally had sleepless nights after watching the cows, their udders become so big they can’t even move. And they run to save their babies from going to the slaughterhouse. Will never forget the day, the day I turned vegan!

This podcast by Pooja is really amazing and eye opening . I could understand a lot of good things by investing my time for this show and the one thing I m going to follow straightway is that I shall not be using sugar / jaggery/ honey etc in my daily routine of tea/ food in any form , except eating Indian sweets on festivals n other special days of course , but in a very tolerable quantity. Thanks to Pooja for transferring my mindset . Big salute to her , Regards ! 🙏

I am not a fan of the so-called 'pod casts' in general....however, recently I was advised to consult a nutritionist to change my food habits from indian food habits to western culture influenced diet..give up on rice n roti...switch to super food like millets etc...I am glad I chanced upon this video and I can relate to that indian food is THE BEST IN THE WORLD..i have always believed that....Pooja has explained all the topics in detail and in simple language to understand as to what changes one needs to make based on her theory of ' fist diet'...Thank you Pooja, thank you Saloni specially for this episode.

Who said millets is western food habit??? Our ancestors were heavy on millets like jowar and bajra (jowar and bajra and ragi are millets!!) and even foxtail millets were considered poor man's food. They were not expensive as today. And BTW millets ARE healthier than gluten heavy rotis

Actually we are Indians growing up in tropical climate we are supposed to have a different eating habits than western culture. Also, India is such a geographically diverse country that food habits vary even within the states because of such variation of climate within India. It is always good to follow food habits that is indigenous and according to the climate of one's place.

yes thats why Indians die mostly of heart attacks. its sentimental to say such things like our food is the best in the world. food is food , its not ours theirs, if you understand the science behind it, you will make best choice. By the way, according to multiple studies, Mediterranean Diet is the best in the world, because its consumers barely suffer from cancer, heart attack or diabetes and live a long life.

She meant don't eat according to mood. Don't become an emotional eater or don't binge eat based on your feelings. And in the next section she meant that just like you give love to your loved ones in the form of hugs, kisses, words, gifts etc, food is the love you should give to your body so don't take away that love from your body. Don't deprive your body of food. Give your body proper love by consuming food properly.
