Besides sounding so good, I was blown away by the ease of use. I'm an at home rocker and I've been pitchshifting my guitar into bass sim rigs in Amplitube 5 to record my bass parts. I got IK Multimedia's MODO Bass but it just isn't usable without a midi keyboard and I can't get a descent hard rock / heavy metal sound out of it. I'm definitely going to have to try EZ Bass out. Thank you, my dude, for another kick ass, informative video 🤟

I used to do that a lot, because I liked using the midi controller to lay down some synth as well on the tracks.... but realistically speaking it's not worth it, you can buy a bass guitar for 250 bucks. You'll have to learn how to play the thing on the keyboard, and there's a bunch of things that are complicated to do, like slap, slides etc..... the bass plug in only helps if it's a very simple bass line.

Yeah I mainly play / use real bass with real amps but there are times when this is really handy 👌😎.

Great video! Question: Can you use a Guitar to control the Easy Bass software? In other words, let's say you don't have a Bass guitar, you only have a Guitar, and you want to use that Guitar to "play" the Easy Bass in real time - play live along with the tracks. No. I play the bass on the albums (except on the first one Peter Iwers did) and we use those recordings / performances live. The same with keyboards which are mostly played by our vocalist Jake.

I’ve just programmed the midi with Cubase but usually I use real bass. I’ve actually used this more if I’ve mixed a song that has programmed midi bass 👌😎.

Just one question. I tune to Drop C and also Drop A on my Baritone guitars. When I first bought this program, it would not allow you to tune the program to drop tunings. Can you drop the tuning on the low string on the bass now with all of the recent updates??

Yeah the bass can be tuned on this one 👌. Or just drag the midi to the notes as low or as high you want on the editor like I did in the video 😎.

😁😁😁 For the actual recordings Alex will play the drums and I’ll play the bass. But these are really cool songwriting tools and actually so good that many records has been done using these. People would be surprised how many actually (especially in modern metal nowadays).
