You are a great person. Last Wednesday, I went for a job interview and I used your best tactics for answering questions . ;) The panel members really liked my answers and I am now waiting for their feedback. They didn't make a decision yet and hopefully, it will be successful. Wish me good luck.

Wow! This video gave me such clarity! Try one and if it doesn’t work out, go back to the other! I was in the scarcity mindset that if I choose a job that doesn’t work out that I will be stuck at a job I don’t like or struggling to find a good job. The truth is I will just have to start looking again. Very simple. I just couldn’t see the truth while stuck in a scarcity mindset.

I was in this situation. I was offered a job before my final interview with another place. I thanked them for their job offer but told them I had other offers on the table, although I didn't but it bought me time, and told them if I could take a week to weight out the other offers. I ended up going with the first place anyways but it felt good not feeling pressured to make the decision without hearing out the other place.

Here in pa., Large hiring events will usually have human resources, start the hiring process ..it starts and ends, in human resources; which has an advantage....they collect the data, make phone calls, set up interviews ..the first contact is human resources. .this let's you to " weed " thru the hiring process. ..

How can I word it when I accepted the offer and started the job for the first 3 weeks to only get a better offer come along? The one I accepted is a contract role and the other is permanent. Not sure if that helps, as I really don't wanna burn bridges.

I’m currently in the same boat. What did you do?
@bc5441
@bc5441 2 жыл бұрын
The bad news is, we’re all temporaries. The “permanent” job might not last, but we will go into it hoping it will, of course. I hope you’re still at that better place that you found. In a right to work state, employer or employee can end the working relationship at any time for any reason. Check the terms of your contract. Do you work for a staffing firm as their W2 employee, or are you paid directly by the company for whom you do the work as a 1099 employee? The best takeaway here is to be respectful. Write a professional letter of resignation, and have a conversation with your supervisor (or the staffing firm if, as a contractor, you are their employee), but don’t feel an obligation to stay for two weeks. That’s a professional courtesy and if the timing is possible (maybe the new job has a start date in the future rather than immediately) you can stay after, but recognize that employers tend not to give their employees that courtesy. More often we’re told “You’re fired” or “You’re laid off,” are given a box to pack our desks and are walked out of the building. (I’ve had both happen. I’ve been laid off with no notice, but once I was a contractor whose position was phased out and the company gave me two weeks’ notice. I could have left that day-and received no more pay-but I chose to stay for the two weeks, wrap things up gracefully and say my goodbyes.)

i'm so confused , im in the same dilemma and need your opinion. . I got job offer last week for job A and took the position. This week i got an offer for job B which pays more, about $7k more a year. Job A is a hybrid schedule that works 2 days in the the office while Job B is hybrid schedule but have to work 4 days in the office. Job A has better medical insurance benefits than job B. I was working for job B previously for 4 years so i have seniority there if i take that while Job A is a brand new company. With all those factors said, which one would you take, Job A or B ????

What if you have 4 job offers? I’m still fairly new being a recruiter and only experience I have is recruiting attorneys but interviewing to be a recruiter in different fields such as banking and manufacture workers and IT... so interviewing for recruiter jobs.. All great companies and offer different but great things? One lets you work remote 2 days a week, really connected with the interviewers and they showed me the office and introduced me to their coworkers, it’s closer to home but pays less but only a 3-4 month contract to perm position... the other is a major mattress manufacturer company, pays a lot more than I ever been paid, far from home, contract to perm but no end date for contract and most contractors there work 1-2 years but didn’t feel like you connected as well as the first and can’t work remotely.... 3rd one is a full time perm job, closer to home that you college friend spoke highly of you to their manager, great benefits, flex schedule but no remote work.... then the 4th is something your comfortable with recruiting and highly skilled at which is recruiting attorneys so you know for sure there will be little to none learning curve.

You should add the travel time as a cost of labour unpaid eg. 10 hours of travel plus a 40 hour week is 50 hours in total, then add fuel, road tolls and car expenses to the equation and then you will have your answer!

I was upset because a company that offered me a job and I took it decided not to contact me the following week with no explanation. So I did what any normal man would do. I got drunk and went and moved all their traffic cones at their facility 😂🙄. Unfortunately the police showed up so I told them the truth. They let me go so I went to a local breakfast spot. Ironically I was having breakfast with the son of the guy who runs the facility 😂. he said that's b******* give me your information I'll call my dad you'll have a job👍
