So how did you combat anxiety?
@Nickinav7 жыл бұрын
Germán Garduño It's simple. By understanding that it's Just a feeling passing over because of excessive imagination. And start practicing mindfulness Look it up bro. It's an amazing tool for the peace of mind and general mental awareness. Just observe your thoughts and feelings like a third party observer and watch them come and go. Don't try to fight your thoughts or indulge In them. Because when you sit there and just watch every thought and feeling. You will understand that those thoughts and feelings are not you. You keep doing this and increase your perception overtime and you'll surely come to point when that becomes your default thinking
@germangarduno7427 жыл бұрын
+Nickeroni Thank you for responding, it makes a lot of sense and definitley I will try it. I've been meditating for a few months but I didn't focus on mindfulness. I've also heard that aerobic excersise is great for releasing anxiety, specially running. And is great to know that we are not alone and we try to help others

I would suggest an alternative to the second strategy... embracing the negative thought, listening to it. Probably it has something to tell us ;). Arresting "him", or sending "him" away doesn´t mean it won`t come back. Transformation requires more work, but it is worth it ;) ... and remember we need to ask for help sometimes! ---thank you for the videos! I use them a lot!

I completely agree with you. We have to learn to be curious about our thoughts without falling into Ruminating thoughts. I wish you all strength to face the battle! Imagine you are in a game and each battle you win is a level you gain. That's my way of seeing my process.

I dont feel this resonates. Sometimes anxiety is caused by the inner conflict. Your court case analogy is quite correct, but how can i focus on anything while there's a full blown argument happening within me all the time. I dont always believe the negative enforcement of my conscious - but it really doesnt stop any of the symtoms, like lack of energy, tight throat which stops me speaking clearly and the all the rest people are aware of. I KNOW i can speak clearer, i know i have more energy in there somewhere - but it won't change. I feel it needs to go deeper, rather than patching it up with some nice thinking now and again

This is for people who aren’t a total wreck... I have to sort of do a complete overhaul. Going to start with the meditation. Like what do you do if you don’t really enjoy anything enough to want to stay alive? I don’t want to harm my mom so I wouldn’t act on that. But I just low key crave nothingness, to be gone. It’s like I see the options and really want to go and be nothingness, just skip to the end. My heart isn’t in it anymore. I must try to become positive. Sorry. Felt a little bit good to just admit that 😐. I hope you all find your bliss. Don’t worry about me, I’m stable 😊.

Christian, Practical action is needed to reprogramme the subconscious mind. If negative thoughts affect physical health a visit to the psychologist is needed. Heal yourself with determination. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety-stress. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. During your daily activity keep observing your breath consciously. Do the above meditation daily to feel relaxed. For more relaxation enter the following on google search “528 Hz affirmations for health and healing you tube”” and listen for 10 minutes before sleep. Repeat softly in the mind. You will get relief quickly. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Since that comment I’ve flipped my car on fentanyl, I’m in recovery but I relapsed that day. So no vehicle to do bad stuff is nice but it also means nothing to do period, especially with no bus service out my way. Anyway thanks for anyone who took the time to read my comment. I have a technical suggestion for the creator of the video: COMbat is a noun. What you are looking for is the term comBAT, the verb form. eg: The soldier went into COMbat to comBAT the enemy. We want to comBAT our negative thoughts.

Denine Hicks Though you are right, I find the word "combat" not as drastic as words like "record". A REcord is a vinyl disc that music was reCORDed in it.

Wow this video is "how to grow your ego". If I may get a chance to clarify myself, negative thoughts are somewhat natural and happen to everyone. There is no point fighting thoughts that arise naturally in the mind. You do not need another fight in your head while you are already down with negative thoughts. Here is an opportunity to develop great virtues of patience and understanding. Your job is two folds, constantly be aware that you are having negative thoughts. Let the thoughts happen, don't try to stop them. They will eventually stop coming. If you try to fight them, you create a false perception of your self. Your mind doesn't have rationality in the first place because you are down with negative thoughts and over that you want think of twisted ways to justify your great side. This creates a self image which isn't true. How could you have created a correct image of yourself while your mind was down with the sickness. Would you perform well on a test if you had fever? Similarly your mind is on a drug of stress during negative thoughts. The only way to deal with such thoughts is by creating distance between you and your thoughts. This is wrongly done by your ego. The correct way is just let them happen and not panic. Good thoughts will follow. You can try mindfulness to help you become more aware. During such periods person should never lose hope, and focus on being calm. A calm mind thinks better, and soon there will be no need to justify yourself. Once your mind starts working rationally, opposite circumstances should also be kept in awareness if we do not wish to have negative thoughts again. You may have to calm your mind from getting excited about positive thoughts too. Although negative thoughts will always keep coming and going, but if you learn to be calm all the time, they will come less. You can be prepared for them by doings two things: 1) Be aware of your negative thoughts 2) Try to remain calm as soon as you realise them.

But what about when the things you are beating yourself up for are true? I look in the mirror and see a hideously obese monster, but unlike this lovely otter, in my case it is true, I weigh 145kg and doctors are begging me to lose weight, so I am “right” to see an appallingly obese reflection. That’s been the bit where cognitive behaviour therapy has failed for me, because when I “check the facts” of my misery, the facts are true. I really wanted this video to help but the advice doesn’t apply in my case :-(.
