I just recently bought an '88 Pontiac Firebird, which I'm gonna do some work to and drop a Hemi in. Just a well-built chassis under some great aero, with an insanely solid and high-compression yet still port-injected, technically excellent yet simple engine, an equally solid T56 manual behind it, and vinyl and plush and brushed aluminium inside. The most "tech" it has is the ECU and cruise control. No ESC, no ABS, not even an airbag. Just good components. It was between that, and a '95 Beamer 328i, or a '92 Ford Ranger. I've had way more recent BMWs, most lately a 530xd. I could reasonably have afforded something like an XF. But look at the price developments for certain old models of car. It's people who ain't 40, or even 30, who are picking them up. Even my old man is switching off. Selling his 2018 Merc to buy an older E-series most likely, to see what he can make of it. Because screw all this touchscreen nonsense. Screw paying overprice for all the unwanted electronics and IoT trash in an impersonal, gamer mouse-looking plasticky shitbox. And screw putting money towards the wages of letzte mensch Sales and Procurement sleazes and jumped-up Business Degree overgrown teenagers who by rights should be stacking boxes and punching numbers into registers and asking "Do you want fries with that?"

The jaguar evs have recalls because the batteries can potentially spontaneously combust lmao, we've had one sitting at work for months waiting on jaguar to come deal with it

This just proved why people with money even over look jaguar now a days. It's like the people running the company no longer know who or what jaguar is as a car brand that they get overlooked by companies like infiniti.
@bmbmunoz218 сағат бұрын
and everything you just said is why this "rebrand exists" noboday cared or talked about jaguar until this commercial. IMO they now have a shot at reviving the brand because the ad went viral.
@jordantaicho17 сағат бұрын
We'll see. Jaguar truly didn't need a rebranding. What they needed was to put effort into the company and make themselves noticeable. This commercial might damage what people who do like the brand know and love just for publicity.

@@bmbmunoz2 Lol people didn’t care about Jaguar because their cars were getting crappy and boring. The XE was shit, F pace boring, F type hadn’t been redesigned for a decade, electric SUVs junk. Pretty sure all they offer now is electric SUV Chinese garbage

Jaguar has gone “woke”
@JacobPaul-ix7oc15 сағат бұрын
Call woke for what it is, Cultural Marxism. It is part of the demoralization and destabilization steps for Ideological Subversion as outlined by Yuri Bezmenov in 1985, What the activists in these companies don't realize is that they are "useful idiots" who will be disposed of once they have fulfilled their purpose in creating division and destabilizing society.

The wages of woke is broke. It’s immutable. Like gravity. When I hear the ceo throw out buzzwords like, “diversity”, “inclusion” and “equity” I immediately close my wallet to them and become non-buy-nary. 😂

Jag has such a rich history as a brand, and it’s obvious that whoever made this ad has no respect for what came before, nor any interest preserving it. I’ll be very surprised if Jag survives this.

I'm surprised it didn't take notes from Cadillac's marketing. They're the best right now at merging fashion with automotive design

jaguar just pulled off the marketing equivalent of the Dick Cheney hunting incident.... except they've played the part of both Cheney AND Harry Whittington...

Rupaul would have made a less gay commercial for Jaguar than this.
