Great video! All 3 phases of a ring dip nicely explained. Keep posting new videos. I have a couple of doubts. 1. How to maintain stability during concentric phase? As I rise up my legs move forward giving a back-forth rocking movement. My anchor point is almost at 4m height. There’s no scope to lower it. 2. Is it ok to have slightly protracted shoulders and hollow body position? Thanks in advance.
@BodyweightProcess3 жыл бұрын
First off thank you! 1. That 4m anchor point could definitely be the issue, but I think it’s really going to come down to adaptation and regressing to a more stable position to practice for the time being. Not sure how long you’ve been training ring dips, but if you’re fairly new I believe starting with a lower AP or even adding a sturdy object below your feet to help decrease the distance between the rings and AP could help. If you can’t find a new AP try adding a reliable/sturdy object for you to stand on that could allow you to set up easily for the dip and even practice just the concentric phase (also might be helpful to train just the negative for longer durations). If it starts to help, overtime gradually increase the distance between the rings + AP, go back to the original set up and and test it out. At some point those 4m ring dips should feel more stable, but it will take time and gradual work 👍🏼 2. I personally don’t see anything wrong with it as your body is going to find its natural position on rings. I’d just avoid forcing a heavily protracted position. Thanks for watching 💯

Best Dips tutorial on KZbin! Thanks for your help . A lot of people haven’t talk about the scapular🥲 Can you make more basic movement tutorials , please ? Like pull up ,push up , rows , pike push up .👍🏿

@@BodyweightProcess thanks 😊 can you also make a pull up video . Because sometimes I can not feel my back muscle are working during pull up (I have already depressed and retract the scapular 😢)

Great info, you can actually push a bit more at the top to retract the scapula fully

It’s gotten to the point where I’ll start slowly playing with pelicans again (finally). It’s been a long time so I’ll gradually work them. Let’s just say I plan on having it as one of the next two videos in the “How to” series. I appreciate the patience my friend and thanks for watching🤘🏼💯

Thank you! And check out my Gymnastic rings Push Routine video, you can apply the same concepts to a dip bar if needed. The workout is basically set up to develop your pushing movement patterns on rings, but can also be used on stationary objects 👍🏼

Question, I am in phase 2 of bbr but instead of following the L-sit chin up in phase one I skipped it for normal pull ups, and now in phase 2 I started to add some weights to my pull ups, should I stop doing the weighted and follow the program and do the tucked L-sit wide pull ups?

How do you not skin your forearms on ring dips? I cut/burn myself everytime I use the rings.

I’ve been searching for this answer, but at the end of the day putting on compression sleeves or wearing a long sleeve shirt is most likely going to be your best option for the time being. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
