2:40 Taking balance out of it is a great tip, thanks. I’m able to do it in that curled leg position but not yet with an extended leg. The curled leg is actually providing a small amount of lift strength as well because it is pressing at an angle with a downward component, but its small enough to be good practice for the real thing.

I needed this about 30 mins ago, Kristi. :). Crazy workout with 15 rounds of 9 pistols (and other stuff). They got better at the end and it’s because I was doing some of the things you suggested (especially the hand assisted pistol, Par). Will try more of these tips next week.

Really great instructional video! I love it! I am taking it to the gym and will be working on my pistol squats! My only question is: I assume the "modifications" of progression are presented in the order in which you should work them? Or perhaps its on an "as needed" basis we implement the mods? Regardless, I appreciate it!

On the seated single leg lift can barely get my leg up, not even close to clearing a kettlebell. My vastus intermedius starts to cramp almost immediately. If I lean back it gets easy but it feels like a cheat. Do you have any advice on how to improve? 15years of back pain, this is the type of information that gives me hope of getting better. Thanks for the quality production and sharing the knowledge!
