The thing that I most respect about your art is that you don't erase. Anyone can draw stuff like this with time, and alot of erasing. But being able to draw the whole thing correct the first time is a major skill. I notice as well that you do two completely different styles of art with "Brody's Ghost" and "Miki Falls". With "Brody's Ghost" you really assentuate the hips, as well as giving it a realistic yet simple loook. With "Miki Falls" you give it a mixture of american comic and manga style body proportions. And your design for the faces is a style I have never seen before. The raised mouth is typical in older drama anime's, but the mixture of that with your fare spaced eyes give it a very unique look. I wonder if that was intentional, or just your maturing in drawing comics. - A comment from an aspiring American Manga artist.

Are you just trying to draw it freehand? Because usually before I've learned how to draw things from memory, I like to go find pictures that have similar characteristics as what I want to draw, and I look at how the artist did it. Pinterest is also great for art help. It's okay to look at something as a reference, that's how artists learn :)

Hands start about an inch under the end of your hip and continue on to half of your thigh. The palm stops a little more than halfway down the hand. The thumb branches off halfway down the palm and ends 1/4 of the way down your index finger. That's the basic outline of the hand size. As for width, it's about half the width of the face

How would this change if you are drawing a Character with small breast or big breast? And can you make a video about the chest area, I still don't understand it that well.
@mohdgadi564810 жыл бұрын
there some parts of the human body that doesn't always follow the guidelines (for example the the size of the eyeball itself stays the same but the distance between the eyes differs from one person to another) hence why it is important to experiment different proportions till you learn what is constant and what isn't. as far as drawing the chest area, there isn't much change (from what I have learned)
@Techy-Nature5 жыл бұрын
@@mohdgadi5648 other than size, the lines stay the same. So just resize the breasts and make them slightly shorter on the torso to compensate. That's what I do anyway. *shrugs*
@Macnavor11 жыл бұрын
Ancles are like forearms just a bit similar but more curved. Now once you mastered the way of drawing legs and arms you should draw poses acording to their position and the location of the torso as well as their angle towards the torso. Location of joints also depend on how open are the arms and the legs or how high in the paper.

A handy tip about shoulders that I just discovered. If you watch the way Mark does them, and if you look at Akamatsu's work in Negima!, you can see that the shoulder (in a straight on pose) is just a continuation of the cheek lines (after they have turned together to form the chin). I hope that saves others the hours of work I spent figuring that out.

Because the arms are shaped in slightly curved lines (if you want to draw them realistic) in a cartoony way the arms woud be drawn using straight lines! Legs tend to be the same just the more curved the more femenine and muscular. The curve in the femoral zone is more pronunciated in the front side when you see them in profile and go inwards but the back of the tigh is less curved! Remember to considerate the knee shoulders and elbows (the elbows of course depending on the perspective)

hey. everyone has their own style/ way of how they draw. Not everyone's way of drawing manga/anime is going to be exactly like the 'traditional' or how you see another artist do it. that's what art is. finding and perfecting your style and what's comfortable/ easy for you. sometimes if i watch a tutorial, i skip a step or two or draw it the way that's easiest for me and still get a great result that isnt too far from the style.

I always wondered if it was better to count the "how many heads tall" based on the full head or the starting circle. So I put some straight-standing pics from my favourite artists into Photoshop to measure it out so I could be influenced by art styles I like... Then I found out not one of them followed remotely consistent measurements or any solid system. The lesson? Do it Mark's way until you're ace enough to just eyeball it.

Try to relate the female thighs with bolwing pins they look a bit alike but without the head (half of the head is a knee) and remember looking the body in the front side makes the left side of the left leg more curved and inwards to the knee but the other leg is complitely opossite so both legs look simetrical.
