@CanadaPocky ive never thought of hair underwater...i would say try thinking of it as not underwater,think of it as a multi directional gentile breeze.draw wisps of hair being "floated" or "drifted" into a few key directions.work on a few places going one way,a few places going another,and so on.not just a bunch of strands going every which way have maybe 3 or 4 points that hair goes too.this probly didnt help much but just practice it a bunch!good luck!

What kind of curls are you trying to draw? If they're like thick corkscrews, there's a certain picture that saved me when I tried to draw curly hair for a character for the first time. Just look up how to draw curls and in the images you'll see one fully drawn with a lined curl with red arrows around it, it helped me SO so much.

I think it might be some sort of charcoal pencil since it's darker. They tend to smudge. If you buy a regular drawing pencil kit they're is most than likely one in there.
