If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them with the best of my ability. Remember, there's always some kind of risk running mods on your console but if you follow this tutorial exactly, you should be good! Also I did not record that Wii footage at 5am... I didn't realize that the time was messed up since I haven't used that Wii in such a long time LMAO

For sure! It’s cause the tracks that were put into the game were selected by the custom tracks community. Mayro and ZPL ran monthly polls and through process and elimination we got these top 200 tracks!

Yes! So you did most of the work already! Just download Mario Kart Midnight and drop the files in the root of the SD card. After that, once you load Riivolution on your wii you should see a Page 1 and a Page 2. Make sure that CTGP is disabled and go to page 2 to enable Midnight and you should be set! (if you don't do this, then when you try to run Midnight it will just give you a black screen and you gotta unplug and replug your Wii) If this is also how you load CTGP every time then you're gonna have to keep re-enabling and disabling which mod you wanna play every time. I can keep my CTGP disabled on Riivolution since I have the whole CTGP-R channel installed so it doesn't affect it.

@@ImCr6 CTGP won’t appear on the Homebrew Channel as an app. From what I know you’ll only see it through running Riivolution or through your Wii’s homepage. Tbh, I don’t remember how to get CTGP as an actual channel but I’m sure that something you can find searching around on KZbin!

I followed every step but when I'm open revolution I scroll to the kext page since I have CTGPR installed. I see the top says Midnight but I only get presented to enable two options one that says Pack and another say my Stuff. Why dont I have the options to enable Midnight?

The only way to run this mod is over Riivolution. This is why you need a sd card

Ok so I go to the download, everything's fine. I go to riivolution, and it's there, but it identifies as CTGP-R, and then when i try to load it, the wii just sits until I turn it off.

you have to make sure all other packs are disabled, and midnights is enabled. For me, I had to disable ctgp channel in riivolution, and enable midnight (you’ll still be able to launch ctgp from the home menu if installed like normal)

It all worked until the final step, both the midnight 1.3 amd riivolution are installed but don't show up on riivolution even when mario kart is installed, anyone else have this issue? Edit: for anyone with this issue downloading midnight 1.2 instead of 1.3 seems to fix this

Sorry for the late reply! Do you have CTGP appearing in your Riivolution by any chance? I have it on there too and the first time I tried booting Midnight up, I didn’t disable CTGP on Riivolution and it led to a just a black screen as well.

It does for the most part but getting the Wii Homebrew on Wii U is a bit different! There’s a bunch of tutorials out there for that tho!

I got it to work once I disabled 200cc Time Trials, but the speed of the courses is so fast I constantly hit walls no matter what CC I select. Some of the courses the canons shoot you off the track. Didn't have this issue with the CTGP.
