A fun idea I'm doing is locking progression behind certain goals. For example, in my survival world, I was limited to wooden tools until I completed goals like building a nice looking barn for cows and pigs, making a large crop farm, and getting full leather armor. I'm now in the stone age of my world, some goals I set for that were taming all types of dogs and cats, finding all the overworld biomes(I excluded Deep Dark because I'm not yet in a stage to explore the underground beyond surface level caves), getting all gold armor and tools from ruined portals, building a stable for every ridable mob, and more building projects too. All of this exploration done either by foot or horse, I guarantee most people don't even think about some of these goals until they have an elytra. Of course things can be hard to find, but another tip is if you're absolutely unable to find something, its ok to use tools like chunkbase. But before you do, put in an honest effort to try and find what you need by just exploring the world. (I managed to get to 46/53 biomes on my own). This is especially understandable if you get unlucky with the nether, they seriously need to add some kind of system similar to the eye of ender for finding fortresses. Playing like this forces you to experience everything Minecraft has to offer, and get a perspective on those things you wouldn't have if you explored it later with netherite and elytra.

To be honest, this is actually a super smart idea since Minecraft doesn't do much about progression. You can go to the end with wooden tools in just a couple of minutes. They really need to make stuff for progression, maybe add something u need to do before you go to the nether and similar stuff. One good thing i like is the upgrade trims to go from diamond to netherite. Your idea is actually great and ill use it in my world since i havent reached netherite and got lots of stuff to do

Best way to play minecraft is using your creativity, like how you did as a kid (atleast me) it was always more fun building and doing crazy stuff than actually trying to beat the game.

Fr, i like to make my world have a story, this way i slow down a bit and have other goals to do in Minecraft. Like you said, as a kid, we imagined so much cool stuff which was probably why we didnt get bored of playing games for a lot without getting bored

I agree with most of these tips especially because i believe you shouldn't feel bad for modifying the game to your liking But y'all gotta agree that having to have people teach you how to have fun in a SANDBOX game is just sad

True, in that case, maybe put down Minecraft for a bit and explore new genres of games or do other hobbies and activities. I used to play like 2 or 3 pixelated games and thats it, now i have a gaming laptop (better than nthn) i play more games of different genres and i never get bored of playing each game now
@BookedWindow7 күн бұрын
Exactly. If you're bored you're bored and perhaps need to play different stuff. No need to call Minecraft boring or bad when you're burnt out. Ive also taken a break from mc and just recently started playing again

Everything gets boring after a while of doing it repeatedly, then you either do other stuff or take a break from that activity

We need more bosses that are required to defeat. But maybe I'm just a terraria guy but the warden and trail chambers feel pointless because I could easily avoid them and beat the game the same way.

@Pacster650 fr, They should add more bosses like the wall of flesh, mechanical bosses, plantera, golem, cultist, pillars and moon lord. You need to beat each boss to progress, Minecraft should add something like that, maybe not bosses but maybe items? You are right though

Honestly, one of the most simple datapaks I’ve ever found changed the game. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it makes the eye of Ender crafting requirement need blaze powder, wind charge, echo shard, and prismarine shard. It makes you have to explore.

@Ayeverre Minecraft really needs to listen to the community more and add progression stuff and bosse. Mods and datapacks do that but a lot of them dont upgrade to the next version which upsets me
