I started out on iMovie as well, but eventually went over to LumaFusion on iPad Pro. I love being able to edit entirely on iPad. The hard drives I use are 2TB Samsung T5’s they’re barely bigger than a zippo lighter, and do not require external power to work with iPad. Two questions I have for you... once you finish uploading your videos do you archive your raw original clips or just delete them. I’m considering starting to delete all my Rob footage, because the files are huge. The other question I have is do you use external batteries to power your cameras during your flights? Are use external batteries so I can turn them on recording at the beginning of the flight and just leave them alone for the entire flight. The only downside with the GoPro is you have to do it with the internal battery removed or they will overheat and shut down. If you can budget for it you should look into the Insta360 one R. It’s so much easier to use than the go Pro Max!

Hello Bambi. Thanks for the informative video. I just bought a Hero8. Can you advice what settings you use for different angles? Specifically In-cockpit facing you, In-cockpit facing straight ahead, and Strut/wing mounted. Thank you again.

As I'm watching this, the numbers have more than doubled! Congrats to that!! For headset (intercom and atc) audio recording I use a Zoom H1 recorder connected to one of the earphone outlets fitted with a splitter cable, in the plane as soon as the mains and radio is turned on.

Hey girl! I have an Nflight camera audio cable that I wanted to start using to film my students' flights for their review later with a GoPro 8. You said you can test if the audio is working before you go..how do you do that? Also, on our faster aircraft we attach our GoPros to the wing or tail by using screws in the base of the GoPro mounts (non-PK screws) and safety wire...that has worked awesome for us! Awesome videos and keep it up! I'm a fixed wing CFI in the US learning in the R-44 right now for my helo private.. Love your Helo videos :D

Thankyou!! I totally forgot to share that, but yes! Sometimes I, or my friends who catch my landing, film with a phone, and it works just fine. My phone was falling apart so the camera wasn't too great. But it's about the message you're portraying, and not always about the quality 😁

Since I'm kind of old to make a living from this -I'm 43 years old-, i would be happy just that way. I am starting my PPL journey but there are many places I would love to fly, NordKapp is a key favourite of mine, along with Canary Islands, all are fairly short journeys. My dream adventure. Next year (2021) the LAA is holding a rally in May and I would soo love to go with my best friend. Hopefully I will pass my PPL in about 2/3 months and we can fly together, me in one plane and him in his. I have about 50+ hours in the right seat of his plane on adventures with him over the last 2 year and I cannot wait to fly on my own next to him. I am soo lucky to be able to be doing my PPL right now. We’ll go from airport to airport over 10 days and camp under the wing. BBQs and clear skies, I will hopefully have a GoPro by then too 😍 SkyDemon would really help so that I don’t have to map read everywhere 😅😅

I am a student pilot at skywings flight training and due to COVID our fase where we do the practical part of getting the PPL has been canceled. Normally we would've left the first of December 2020 for Montpellier in southern France but the school took the decision to learn to fly here in Antwerp. By taking that decision they secure the continuity of our flight training but it's a missed opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes of France. So I hope that we can go there one day with the rest of my prom using Skydemon to guide us our way to paradise :) Keep up the good work!! Kind regards, Michiel

My aviation dream would be to fly around the low country in South Carolina and Georgia in sturdy single-engine. Then I would like to cross-country up to Tennessee and fly all over that friendly, beautiful state. Stopping frequently to acquaint myself with interesting people and places along the way would be awesome!

That sounds awesome! I've never been to the USA, and would love to do some flying there soon!

Great dream. I'm planning on it. Has to be amphibious for exploring islands of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. Regulations may be a hassle for experimental in some countries. But it's worth a try!

Hi Bambi, My dream is to fly a 737-800 one day. But dreams will remain dreams, i think. I will have to cope with my 737 in a flightsim. Keep on the good work on your videos!

Tell you what I'd like to see. You enjoying a beautiful evening hot air balloon ride, filmed from a drone. That would be fantastic. Nice informative video. Love the way you HAD to explain your methods with an actual plane. That's just so you. Good stuff.

My aviation dream would be a flight from nothern Germany to Nuuk, Greenland via Scotland and Reykjavik and back with spending a few days at every stopover. It´s a little bit like the reversed tour of Matt Guthmiller to Europe. Some points on my list, like my PPL, are already checked but my favourite aircraft for this trip, a Bonanza, seems unreachable at this moment. Honestly, i think 4 of the seats would remain empty and i would take just my Girlfriend (and a lot of clothes against the cold weather) with me.

Sounds like a beautiful trip. I've seen some of Matt's videos and the views look spectacular.
