Sometimes I get so frustrated with my hair and my scalp showing that I don’t even look to see if it’s covered or not. BUT, you have encouraged me to keep looking. 😂 Thanks for sharing.

A good tip if you have a water bottle spray, add a little bit of curlsmith miracle shield to it. Then spray all your hair and scrunch it. Sleeping with your curly hair on top of your head in a bun also helps with a silk pillowcase to stop hair frizz.

My hair is very much like yours. I do have a cowlick right in the back which always gives me a very difficult time in managing to cover it up. And they say that the older you get the deeper the cowlick is. I feel that is true. But thank you for the good ideas to cover it up

Wow! Thank you! I have a cowlick at the back of my head as well as low density hair. So, I’m constantly battling my hair lying flat in this section. This video was very helpful. I’m going to try your suggestions. I appreciate your videos, Gena. Always helpful and useful tips. 👍🏼

I have a massive cowlick at the back of my head too, & borderline med/low density. I also have stubborn growth patterns that cause all the hair before the cowlick grow directly down each side of my head. It takes a LOT for me to get any root curl & lift.

Thanks for the tips! I used your diffusing technique when I did my hair this evening and it helped. The problem with grey hair is that my scalp shows through a lot more than when my hair was brown. I've been using pinch clips on my dampened hair in the morning to use my hair to cover where the scalp shows in the back and crown and removing the clips when my hair is totally dry, later in the day (I use white clips that don't show in my hair). I think it helps some. I also weave a hair pin or two into my part on the crown when damp restyling so my part doesn't look so big - it also gives me more lift on top of my head. The brush technique looks good but I can't invest in another brush right now. Also, I worry about messing up the curl pattern if I'd try to detangle when refreshing the way you do. I do fluff my hair at the roots in the morning when I take off my bonnet, as you demonstrated. Your hair looks great, I'd never know your hair is low density by looking at it. Do you have tips that would work in wavy hair? Someone in my family with wavy hair worries about her scalp showing, but I don't think she'd use the type of styling you use.

I just found your channel and I am so happy. I’m hoping to watch some of your videos and get help. I don’t know if your hair is frizzy at all but mine is crazy frizzy and curly and long but I will be getting it cut. I just wanted to add that for my crown area, mine splits there all the time. What I do is I let my hair air dry for the most part and then when it’s about halfway dry I get two of the Velcro curlers, small to medium. I don’t use really big ones but I put them up on my crown area, It gives it a little lift but it also holds the split together pretty good. I don’t roll it with the hair I just lift the hair up and just put the roller underneath it and then set the hair back down and make sure it’s holding it. And then in the morning if it’s split I do the same thing I spritz it with a mixture of water and a little bit of conditioner in the water just enough so it’s damp and then I put the curler back in and let it dry or I dry it depending on how quick I need to get out. It works. But I’m gonna check out your other videos too.

Hair fiber on dry hair at root - especially crown/cowlick helps. Or dry spray shampoo, use both sparingly. Build up will counteract.

Great tips! 💗 I wonder if a different form of night protection would protect your crown better. I use a satin lined hair buff, and I find that works way better for my hair. I got it from her given hair, they call it a protective head band.

I have exactly ur type of hair, and i Find it hard to have it long , like midback, it just clums up no fluffiness, and usually the ends are very thin compared to the roots, any advice, or we just have to keep it short, like it lacks the proper weight to weigh down.

If I finger comb through my 3a fine curls (wet or dry)...they go straigtht/wavy! There's no getting the curl back unless I start over by washing again. I have to wash my hair pretty much every day because of this (plus, my hair gets so tangled if I skip even just one day). How are you able to finger comb through again and again and still have curls?

Since the length of my hair has increased, the roots and crown have much more volume. I just wonder why sometimes the water sprayer results in knots at the ends. It's becoming more of an issue these days.
@angifarnsworth52162 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you need a trim. Hair generally starts to knot easier when the ends are split and damaged. Which happens over time no matter how well you treat your hair.
@MyVintageLife2 жыл бұрын
@@angifarnsworth5216 yes, but I just trimmed it one month ago. I am guessing that my sinus medication damaged the ends and hair shaft, because it was fine before that. I have to watch for more damage.
